Well. Now that Alpha Protocol is out, I think it's pretty obvious now what would happen if Mass Effect were handed over to Obsidian.

And I thought Insanity was way too easy, especially if going into it with a pre-built character. The only really hard part with a new, from level 1 character is the fight with the Krogan mercenary at the end of the Therum, but after that, careful playing and min-maxing the right attributes makes the game pathetic.

I have one point invested in assault rifles. One point. And with that one point, and a Spectre VII AR, I can kick on Overkill and sustain a constant stream of no-accuracy loss fire.

Well, in ME 1 accuracy improved MUCH more with weapons than with skills. Even Liara was a killing machine with Specter X AR.

About ME to Obsidian, maybe after ME3, as long as they don´t do the same that with KOTOR2. For all it´s merits, deconstructing SW in a SW game just felt wrong, and at times clashed with canon in rather weird ways. I.e. Kreia whining about the Force and Fate felt silly when you think Sith try to corrupt the Force, so should it just let them?

ME is much what was great about space opera in the 80´s (reconstruction?) as SW was about the old SF serials, I don´t think that should change.

Actually, that was a strong pro for me :D Of course, I don't love SW much, so.
