Things that should've made it into the game

Anyway...I second the griffons comment. I hope they make an appearance some day. And to the people saying they are extinct, the people of Thedas thought dragons were extinct...but they came back, and the people named an age of history after them. Maybe there will be a Griffon Age? (I admit, it doesn't sound as cool as Dragon Age)
I would also second the need for more aesthetic improvements, namely to armor types. Light armors look nice, but there is hardly any variety to them, same with medium and heavy armors. I would also like to see more weapon models but that's not a huge thing, modders are churning those out along with hairstyles thankfully.

I would have liked to, just once, have one of my companions and or lover(s) ask me how I was holding up.
I just loss my family by Howe's guards murdering them.
I am thrown into a leader role as Allistair is too weak so all the pressure is on me to make all the decisions.
To try and keep all my companions happy, which is impossible.
One decision makes one happy while it pisses off the other.
I have to make sure everyone has the best armor and the best weapons and take care of all the leveling up.
Make tough choices to kill or not to kill some people.
I have to fight in a proving (if you choose that king).
Gotta put up with Morrigan's BS and love her at the same time cause I just adore her. But, she is such high maintance.
I just wanted someone to talk to me and say "Hey, How are you doing?"
You don't know who or how many my warden is sleeping with so I don't appreciate your comment.
I have numerous characters in the works so you jumped to a conclusion.
Besides, you missed my point.

Alistair's just not the leadership type. Or, rather, he thinks he isn't. Humility is not weakness, it's just not really a strength, either.
I agreed with you up until he was whinning to Wynne about the hole in his shirt that he needed mending. Did not sit right with me. Made him seem really really weak to me. Made me just want to jump right in and make him the king...NOT!

So was the coelacanth.
Apparently it wasn't. There's also a big difference between a wild animal being thought extinct, and breeders being unable to keep a domesticated species from dying out.
Don't get me wrong, Griffons are awesome, but I like that they made them extinct as well. It's something I never expected, and it leaves yet another powerful feeling in the player. Bringing Griffons in the game would stop that feeling, in addition to causing a major plothole.

Are you thinking of a fencing sword or an awesome pirate's best friend. I bet a swashbuckler's blade would do just fine. You're supposed to be going for the points where you don't hit armor anyway so as not to dull your blade. I always thought the duelist would have one or two of these.
I had thought that first as well (that we would get them). Isn't the pirate version pretty much the same as any other though? I still don't think they fit, but I don't think the duelist really fits in the Dragon Age context either.

They've had plenty of time to work on it, so yeah, they are for the most instances spot on. The mods are still good and they represent a gap that the modder felt was already existing in the game. This very topic's purpose no?
Oh, don't get me wrong, I love more hairstyles, and I use the mod as well. I just wanted to point out that the modders are not quite so superior as the one who posted that suggested.

Some swordfighting techniques apply two hands to a longsword. You can bolster your block by using the sword much like a staff. You also have a free hand to disrupt your opponent should the need arise.
Point taken.

It was done pretty well in Mass Effect. It wasn't priced any higher than Dragon Age on release. Might even have warranted the price associated with the expansion *elbows you jokingly*. I haven't seen a thread regarding complaints that a person disliked the VO actor's/actress' voice. No doubt it exists though.Using FMOD you can apply effects to the voice to give them more bass or altered pitch very easily. So multiple races would not be an issue. Just cover both genders.
But Mass Effect has a set main character, no? So no choices about appearance and race and such basically also means there doesn't need to be a choice in voice.
That said, if it is true what you suggest and editing the voice (properly) is that easy, perhaps it is marginally doable after all. But still only marginably because it is still a whole lot spoken text. And many really don't miss having a voice, so I don't think it's worth it.

A hug would've been wonderful. In fact, it might even have been better than a whole conversation. Perhaps I would even appreciate a hug above many of the random relationships (not the main four obviously, but the others) you can have in game.

It's not humility, it's cowardice. You've only just become a Warden, you would expect Alistair to take charge. The fact that he doesn't is nothing short of cowardly. If Duncan knew that Alistair would react that way he probably wouldn't have made him a Warden.
It would've sure been nice gameplay if Alistair had taken command and your PC just got to tag along behind him

Also, a little more companion interaction on "how are you doing?" would've been cool. Once, just once, and only on the romance track, Alistair mentions "This must suck for you too...hang in there." Then he moves on to "steamy bits," and that's all the personal concern you get.

No new contributions here, but I kind of liked the absence of a PC voice. It actually helped with my sense of immersion - there was no random person's voiceover to what were supposed to be my thoughts and reactions.

I feel the same way about the PC's voice and more questions about my race, history, feelings and culture will be nice.

For example, the archer pumps a few extra arrows into the target and the creature tries to push onwards through the barrage before eventually falling, Or drain life causing a target to writhe in pain until being reduced into a skeleton or a pile of ashes.

I guess it would be fine if they fully voiced the game with (at least) six voicesets for every race, and both genders, but that would be a hell of alot of time in the recording studio and a hell of alot of disc space for the dialogue and cost a hell of alot of money from Bioware.
That's what Blu-Ray was designed for to enable developers the storage capacity required for ambitious projects such as this. Yes it may be more expensive but then I'm sure the money will be recuperated and then some in sales.
Although I initially thought the MC would be better voiced, I'm now not so sure, but seeing the characters become more emotionaly involved/attached to each other would be a welcome addition
The MC seems restricted movement wise, only running/walking, slow turn rates, unable to jump/climb etc, so less restrictions also welcome. Perhaps more puzzle solving rather than more battles could make the game more interesting also, otherwise I'm loving the game/story/music, but still struggling slightly with the battle system and only 20% world explored.

But i only borrowed it.
Morrigan: See what heppens when you borrow things?
PC: Yeah, you get found out.
Morrigan: And you have to give them back.
PC I could duel her.
Morrigan: Now that is the most sensible thing i have ever heard you say.
