However, if the Mass Effect movie uses the same characters as the game, there is no reason some of the voice actors should be replaced. Particularly Liz Sroka as Tali and Brandon Keener as Garrus. Sroka and Keener brought these characters to life, turning them from written ideas to real people: nobody will be able to replicate the characters better than they, and lovers of the game will instantly identify with them instead of new actors. Since they are minor characters and their faces will be either CGIed or heavily make-upped, it isn't important for famous actors to play these roles either. There is really no excuse NOT to cast the original voice actors for these roles.
Additionally, Joker should definitely be played by Seth Green and Anderson should be played by Keith David. Both of these actors are close enough in age and appearance to their characters to be believable, and both are famous enough to sell tickets. Again, no need to replace these two with other actors, as no one will do the characters better than them.
Do I even have to mention the only person qualified to play Miranda if she is a character onscreen?

And I'm not just saying that because I have a raging boner for Firefly (okay, I do, but that's beside the point), but because he would be a very, VERY good fit physically and vocally for the part.
You want further proof? Just imagine Tali as the girl in the last 15 seconds of this "Castle" clip: http://www.imdb.com/...lu/vi918357785/

F that. Nathan, Captain M-****g Mal, Fillion as Shepard. I just watched a video of Mark Meer (aka the voice actor for Shepard), and the guy sounds a lot like Nathan Fillion when he's not doing the "Shepard voice". Plus, Mr. Fillion has the square jaw look down pat.

Nathan is rumored to be pulling the part of Henry Pym AKA Ant Man with the Avengers movie. So I'd rather see him stick with that and Nathan is going to be over 40 by the time filming would start with Mass Effect. So as much as I love Fillion. No.

I doubt they'd pick a female to be Shepard, but if they did, I'd love it to be some hot red-head like Christina Hendricks.
Never watched anything with her but I am familiar with her and those measurements of hers are.... inspiring.

Matthew Fox better be Shepard.
You guys realize that last Lost had less viewers than The Big Bang Theory, right? So... Sheldon for Shepard!!!

Other than that, I stick with my original sugestion, lost many pages ago:
Any of these two for Shepard!

I agree with an earlier post, a movie about the First Contact Wars would be sick.
Totally had the same idea.
The movie could fill in the gaps of the First Contact War from the game. In addition, I do not think the producers will find the money for a gigantic space opera. (well at least for the first movie)
Too many different types of aliens to animate will probably cost lots of cashola. I would rather have one race of aliens to look realistic then all of them looking like greenscreen nightmare like the Starwars prequels.
Plus, it would be nice for the average audience to be eased into the universe. Give them some backstory.
Then maybe, just maybe, let them touch the Mass Effect Trilogy storyline.

Back on topic, I'd like to see some fresh new talent for shepard. I don't particularly mind whether the character is male or female. It would be great either way. More so however, I'd appreciate more backstory to flesh out the universe. The Contact War would be my first choice, but if they made Revelation into a movie, I wouldn't say no to that one either.

Also, what's the point? Why would I want to sit there totally passive for 90+ minutes and watch a fixed and predetermined ending when I can control the main character myself in the game, have 40+ hours and can take influence on the outcome? Why would I bother with the movie? Personally, I wouldn't.
Remember all the movies based on games? Doom. D&D. Hitman (
Rather make more Mass Effect games.
Or at least do it only in CGI, like the FF movies. That way the original voice actors can remain and it won't kill the immersion as bad as overrated and untalented Hollyweird nutjobs.
