I think in order to prevent screwing up the movie with the wrong actors, just use the same graphics from the trailors, that way the characters look and stay the same.

I'm not really all that enthused about having a ME movie, mostly because I know they'll make the predictable choice and have Shepard be male. Even so, it'll suck because we already have voices for the characters! I could see someone like Sigourney Weaver playing Chakwas, but she wouldn't sound like Chakwas. Same for if they took the long-shot route and had a femShep- she wouldn't sound right if it wasn't Jennifer Hale's voice. This can be avoided in a few cases- in amovie, Seth Green would be Joker- there's no getting around it, but it's generally going to be a disappointing movie, and a bad deal.

Unless the go the final fantasy movie route, and have all the characters be really well done CG, of course.

Thats exactly what I said...use the graphics from Final Fantasy and the movie will be awesome.

You always had something to say GothamLord, i know he is Saren, the voice... but I think for the movie Slater can do a good Saren, with CGI and Make Up obviously.

Anyways, if you're making Saren CGI there is no valid reason to switch out Fred.  Why would you replace the voice that helped define the character so well for a B-grade actor?

@massranger, i dont hate americans, i just dont see why all movies are cast with the same people. i mean, how about the cast that actually voiced the game, i believe marina sirtis and michael dorn from star trek voiced characters in mass effect, the only reason i suggest statham is because hes not some cheesey guy with pearly white teeth and afraid to break a finger nail.

Theres no point in letting the voice actor act in the movie if they cant act. Ide rather have a B grade actor then a a voice actor that cant act at all.

The list with the actors is great but some choices are IMO very strange.

Some examples:

Jane Shepard:
Jennifer Aniston - I think Jennifer Aniston would not fit into the action orientated role of Shepard. She is a good actress but not a action hero. She is more the romantic/comedy type.

Whoopie Goldeberg - wy too old for Shepard.

Kaidan:
Steven Segal - same problem as Whoopi Goldberg. Way too old for that role.

most people will probably disagree with my choice for actors but for a female shepard I would say Milla Jovovich and for a male shepard, well Matthew Fox definitely looks a lot like the original shepard. Unfortunately I have not seen his acting so I can not say. I would see Vin Diesel as a good choice. He might be a bold fella, but then again a lot of us players, in my opinion, customize our "Shepards" to look different, plus he is a good action actor. I know my choices wont take but I figure another voice for the movie would be beneficial

I have a friends who works with comics, and she once said "I really love to read the letters from my fans, and I get tons of inspiration from them, but if I would actually listen to them I'd only make crap". Meaning is: listen to your fans, but do your own story, or it won't be any good and I agree. If none of us had played ME2 only ME1 and would give suggestions as to what ME2 would be about, I don't think it would've been a game worth buying.

Though I'm NOT saying the creators shouldn't at least have a hum of what we're thinking, they should, they just shouldn't make a movie based on what we want on this forum.

I 100% agree with you. But it was what specific individuals had said for a role. When I show the list again, it WILL be refined.

Implying that voice actors cant act shows you have no idea what your talking about with the industry. Plus the fact that Saren would be CGI as was just stated so Fred would be doing the exact same thing he did with the original game.
