We don't know yet whether Saren will end up being CGI'd in this movie. Personally, I think they should to him and Garrus, but there's always that star quality that everyone wants from Saren - to be cold, calculating, dark, rogue, and insane.GothamLord wrote...

You always had something to say GothamLord, i know he is Saren, the voice... but I think for the movie Slater can do a good Saren, with CGI and Make Up obviously.
Happy now?
No ?
I'm not going to be happy until this Matthew Fox / Sam Worthington crap ends.
Anyways, if you're making Saren CGI there is no valid reason to switch out Fred. Why would you replace the voice that helped define the character so well for a B-grade actor?
Theres no point in letting the voice actor act in the movie if they cant act. Ide rather have a B grade actor then a a voice actor that cant act at all.
Implying that voice actors cant act shows you have no idea what your talking about with the industry. Plus the fact that Saren would be CGI as was just stated so Fred would be doing the exact same thing he did with the original game.

No we dont know what they are going to do yet. My earlier statement however was making the implication that if Saren was CGI there would be no reason to swap out the original voice actor for a B-rate actor that we'd never see the face of. Why lose the emotion and power that was put in there by the VA the first time for someone like Slater thats done very little professional voice acting. I believe he's done one or two minor things in a random tv show like Robot Chicken but his really only high end VA work was Ferngully back in the early 90s.

Oh, I do find time to do a plethora of other things. And yes it is ridiculous. But it is to show what everyone in this website has chosen for an actor or actress for a role, whether or not it's the truth. Like I have said before, I will show the list again in the next 100 pages or next month. And it WILL be refined.rep31983 wrote...
Wow...you really need to find something else to do with your time...this is ridiculous. lol
I for one really appreciate the effort. It makes life a whole lot easier, and the suggestions easier to see and comment. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the refined list
(And I don't even want a movie about Shepard)

That is VERY true. They shouldn't have to waste money on so-so actors in this case, like Christian Slater, when they already have the VA who has captivated his role as Saren. Plus, VA's are cheaper than regular actors these days. If the producers want to CGI the Turians in general, I say go for it.GothamLord wrote...

However, the list only contains the actors and roles for the ME games. If the ME movie was about a young Anderson involved in the First Contact War or Skyllian Blitz, I would not have that information...yet.

BIGGEST FACEPALM IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
Jesus, BioWare, what the heck. ME doesn't need a movie, it already is one for christ's sakes. Cash cows.
+1
NO.
JUST NO.
Don't ruin the ME universe with a MOVIE.
Both Mass Effect games are times better than any movie could ever be.EVER.
Please.Anything but that.

Maybe a pre-Shepard story like the first contact war or a story involving different people and different aliens from the Mass effect universe.
I agree with the people who says that pretty mcuh every movie trying to recapture a computergames story has failed utterly
It has potential as long as the story is unique in a way that allows the director and everyone else create a unique and captivating story with only the framework of the setting in the Mass effect universe.
Im a little tired so im not sure if that amde sense but, no Shepard, no Saren, no... unless its something liek a short news flash about a generic event involving those individuals in a situation that is very mundane and generic and non-story "spoiling".
Anyway GL I'll probably watch it unless people convinces me it's so bad it will spoil my ME experience

The list with the actors is great but some choices are IMO very strange.
Some examples:
Jane Shepard:
Jennifer Aniston - I think Jennifer Aniston would not fit into the action orientated role of Shepard. She is a good actress but not a action hero. She is more the romantic/comedy type.
Whoopie Goldeberg - wy too old for Shepard.
Kaidan:
Steven Segal - same problem as Whoopi Goldberg. Way too old for that role.
These choices are indeed very strange. Maybe somebody was trying to be funny. lol Whoopi Goldberg? Yeah that's funny. Just leave the damn thing ANIMATED please so the characters are themselves for Christ Sakes.

What? You would rather have the ME movie animated? Ok...cruz29 wrote...

1. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
2. They've already started producing a live-action film on ME.
I would not want to see an animated ME movie like Halo has done in the past because the Halo live-action film coudn't be made. It will NOT go down that road.
Anyone think Mass Effect should go animated or live-action, whether it's about shepard or not?
