Seth Green HAS to be Joker (if Joker is in it) for it to be good though, no one else can do Joker. Also, if Shepard is in this, at least try casting Will Smith (if going Renegade, I can't imagine a Paragon Will Smith), if he doesn't make it, at least say you tried. (and before all of you give me crap about wanting a Black Male Shepard, anytime I log on any site or video involving Mass Effect, Shepard is ALWAYS white, even the customs! What are you people, racist?)

Totally agree with that, if there were to be a black Shepard no way it could be Will Smith, and I'm sorry but I'm 100% sure the best actor as far as looking like Commader Shepard is Matthew Fox, hands down guys. Also they have to cast Seth Green as Joker bc the character was designed to look like him.

I'm all for Matt Fox as Shepard. If he's not, no big. The bigger picture is the story that is MASS EFFECT! The games themselves play as movies. I'm all for them into NOT making it a movie, because I'm afraid of the outcome, yet eager to see it because of how well it "may" turn out. I've seen plenty of favorite comics and games make it to the big screen. And sometimes I'm horribly pissed. *cough* X-Men 3 *cough*. I'm just hoping that the Mass Effect movie captures the intrigue, vastness, beauty, and drama that the games have given me.

I don't think so. It's not like the whole galaxy is only about Shepard. If they can't make another good story in the ME universe that doesn't involve Shepard, then they are very uncreative.

There you are wrong, look at the cover of the game look at all these pic's that people are using in this forum with Shepard in them there all the same, that is the default Shepard and that is the way he supposed to look, whether you choose to make yours black with red hair or a beard is bc you wanted to, but most of my friends and I kept Shep the same way he was intended to look, and that is the way he should look in the movie. I'm sorry but the Shep on the cover is the only way to go people, and the best person to play him is Matthew Fox, end of story bc they look the same, it's perfect.

Milla Jovovich is a little on the waify side for Shep, I think. 

Zoe Bell - now she would kick major ass.  She could belivably pull off the tough renegade moments and still be a little soft for the paragon hero stuff.

If the movie has Shepard as the main protagonist it will not really going to matter who plays as him/her because Shepard can have any personality and can look like anyone. The former being the main reason why I think the movie shouldn't have Shepard in it.

That's simply not true.  There is no canon Shepard - the people who made the games have confirmed it.  This is why in all the comics/books/etc. Shepard's first name and gender are never mentioned.  This movie might be an exception (in terms of having a Shepard).

Show me some evidence to proove that "There is no canon Shepard - the people who made the games have confirmed it."  Hey look, my picture on the left hand side is all the evidence needed prooving that there is a "canon Shepard" (BioWare's Shepard!)

About this statement, if " it will not really going to matter who plays as him/her because Shepard can have any personality and can look like anyone", then why did BioWare even put the "Default" Shepard face on the cover and my picture? If that's the case, then they might as well erase this so called Shepard's face off my picture on the left hand side and the cover of the game to make him have no face at all LOL. Just "face" it, they will use the "default" "canon" Shepard face for the movie if they can find the right male actor for the part which should be Matthew Fox no doubt.
   PS: I want to see some of you quote my response, I want to see what you guys think!

Ok I read the comment which was the evidence supporting your reply and im not suprised of what he said, but he still mentioned that you may use the term "Default" and that they made up a story for you if you have not played the first Mass Effect. Well there you have it, its going to be the default shepard because there are too many people with different Shepard's and different paths so that is why the movie will most likely have it's own Shepard story, and will most likely be an actor that looks like the default Shepard on the cover of the game.

any game that allows you to customize your character has an automatic default character and once you start the game every decision you make effects Shepard's personality there for everyone ones Shepard had a different personality, hence why I believe Shepard should not be in the movie.
