Joe Flanigan as C.
Shepard

Of course, Keith Davids as Anderson
Maybe
Martin
Sheen as Illusive Man
Gemma Arterton as Liara T'Soni

Maybe Keanu Reves as Kaidan
I think Joe
Flanigan
would fit the role of Commander Shepard, because he
already did a great
job
as Lieutenant Colonel John Shepard in
Stargate Atlantis, but to make
the right decision in chosing the
best fitting actor is very hard. I
wouldn't like to be the one who
has to do it.
I hope the choices they
make
will satisfy our
wishes and Shepard will be acted by a fitting
actor (who ever it
will be?)

Well, not quite, I kinda enjoyed Constantine, but other than that, amen.
Gorden 121: can you write in a more annoying way?
And No Joe Flanigan! He looked more like a mis-placed teddybear than a commander!
My votes go
1) No Shepard, make a movie about something else in the ME universe (where did people hear those rumours about actors? Tell me, I wanna check 'em out)
2) If it's about the games; Shepard: Sam Worthington (my one male favourite actor, and YES I think he can pull it off, just see terminator) Ashley: Michelle Rodriguez. OK, I just wanna have Rodriguez in the movie because she's my favourite actress in general, BUT she's the goddamn best person there is when it comes to acting as a badass female soldier. Antje Traue is pretty good too, she was great in Pandorum.
I'm a woman and believes in equalty between the sexes, but if there's going to be a female lead á la Jane Shepard, it's gotta be one hell of an acress to pull it off, and I'm actually not nominating Rodriguez because she feels best like the second-in-command (who dies at one point or another). I honestly can't think of anyone good enough to pull it off (please no Milla Jovovich, I always think of her as Leeloo, it almost ruined Resident Evil for me to see Leeloo running around shooting up zombies).

I can't really think of anyone who could do Jennifer Hale's version justice. It's probably been said before, but if Blur did this, that would be pretty awesome, and then there'd be a chance (albeit small) of keeping Hale...

What do you mean by "TASTEFUL"? Like hot and sexy or new and believable female Shepard?calabazada wrote...
Erica Cerra would make a good femshep, though she actually resembles ashley so that might be a problem. But seriously, enough crew-cut space marines. Please let there be a TASTEFUL female heroine if the me1 storyline must be used.

I don't care who Shepard is or how Shepard acts. I just see the complications of going with the story of Shepard mainly because of the personality not being set, the personality was different for everyone. I think it should be a different story because Shepard's is just to complicated and there is no real Shepard because as I've been saying over and over again Shepard's personality was different for everyone. It's who someone is that matters, not how they look.
Sheppards personality will be what the writers decide. So what's exactly the problem? That it's not your choice?
Well cry me a river. It's not like oy have a say in how the characters will look or act in any movie..ever.
So what exactly is the problem?
That it wouldn't be your Sheppard? WELL WHY SHOULD IT BE?

I could only see this working if he played a Paragon Shepard. Oh wait... he's already been a Shepard. A kinda Paragon Sheaprd. A John Paragon Shepard. The default ME Sheaprd name
But yeah... a Renegade wouldn't really suit him.

Thinking of Joe Flanigan as C. Shepard I thought of a Paragon Shepard.
I never played as a Renegade, maybe that's the reason for my choice.
A film in the ME universe, without Shepard could solve the problem of the right choice of C. Shepard and if there was another story they could use the books about ME for the film.

1) How many more characters are we going to get along with downloadable content?
2) Were these characters (Zaeed, Kasumi, and more) supposed to be for ME 3?
3) May there be even more characters for ME 3 than ME 1 & 2?
4) What new addition to the team have we gotten today in Overlord?
5) How will these additional characters help Shepard in ME 3 if he survives?
6) Would Shepard (male or female) be able to romance some of these DLC characters in ME 3 (if you saved them)?
Of course, this is all speculation. Thoughts?

I can only speculate -- if ME3 had larger squads that would be cool, but more characters is not really necessary... what's important is depth not breadth. We don't need every personality type... maybe like some RPGs where you can only recruit a certain number of characters, and have to take or leave others-- just to keep the tight-knit sense in ME1 that we're a family.
On the other point... I don't know since I don't have Overlord, but I would be surprised... playing ME2 through with Zaeed you can see the spots left for the other characters (I never got the Kasumi DLC), but with Kasumi I'd imagine now the roster screen is pretty full. They could have someone posing in front, laying down on an elbow, or giving bunny-ears from behind.

They don't add any new characters to the team in the Overlord DLC. Which I'm personally fine with. In all honesty, I can't imagine there being anymore room on the ship for more people so I don't think they're going to add anymore characters...

I see where you're getting at. Your thinking that you could choose between your old squad members for new squad members for ME 3. Cold but vital. They could go that way.iisan7 wrote...

Movie: I just recently started playing ME so I'm a ME noob if you guys want to call me that. I love the game. No other game has EVER fascinated me that much. I love it love it love it. Being 31 and a gamer ever since I was 14, that says a lot about the quality of this game! So the idea of ME being a movie, hm! Yes, no, maybe! The only good comic movies I can watch over and over again are Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Not only because of the great actors but of the story itself. Love it! So a Mass Effect movie like that would totally rule! I agree with most people on here, a first contact war story line would be super awesome. No Shepard in the movie at all - I also agree with that.
Director: Someone mentioned George Lucas! OMG seriously? He already had his chance to disappoint millions of people all over the well and took it! If you watched the Clone Wars movie before the Clone Wars tv series, you even got that disappointment the way he intended.
Actors: IF there is a Shepard in the movie, then oh please no Keanu Reeves. That guy only knows one facial expression! And the Bill and Ted movies are already history, even though both were the best he ever made, dude!
But no Shepard at all would still be my first choice and make the movie way more interesting.
How long it takes to make a movie? I don't know if anyone has said anything to that earlier. I think it depends a lot on if a production company is interested. If producers are interested. If they find a good director and screen writers. Then of course if there is NO FIGHTING among them and they all are on the same page about the entire project. How fast casting goes. How fast finding locations goes. How fast shooting the scenes goes. How fast post-production, film and sound-editing goes. Public relations, movie premiere, buy your popcorn, enjoy the movie or leave early cuz it sucks. I think thats basically the long story short, from my non-professional point of view xD Anyway, personally, I think the movie won't come out BEFORE ME3!
and my 2 cents just became a dime
