Assuming the movie would incorporate ME2 chars – If anyone other than Yvonne Strahovski plays Miranda I will be disappointed, especially if it's a non-Australian... as an Aussie I get very uncomfortable watching people attempting the Australian accent... 

It can be quite painful at times .

I would ideally like the VAs to play their respective chars where possible. I'd like to believe some of the chars (I haven't seen them all) were modelled on their VAs for the purpose of a potential film. Yvonne is a dead ringer, minus the blonde hair of course. 

In case you haven't noticed I'm not a fan of big name casts... I don't believe they work for anything other than making a quick buck and I for one don't want this film to be like that. A Sam Worthington Shepard (which is what I believe we should all be expecting) I think would be a mistake. If you want some big names to "draw the crowds" use them for the lesser/sub-plot chars. That's my opinion anyway.

The moive will use the shepard that is more popluar male or female. story is great no matter what.

I would not mind if they Pull a JJ Abrams Star Trek and used not too fairly well known actors lol.

I wouldnt mind seeing Sam Worthington play Shepard.

I think Seth Green should play Seth Green.

Kaidan could be played by Jeffery Dean Morgan if you wanted an older guy. A younger guy...i dunno any youthful actors that look slightly Hawaiian.

Williams since shes like unknown in her race, she has a lot of choices. I don't see them picking an older female actress...I wouldn't be surprised if Scarlett got a nod to play any female since her and seth are friends. However, Scarlett was good as the Black Widow so I have no problems with her playing anything. Then theres Jessica Biel but shes kinda disappeared...last time I saw her, she was climbing a mountain O.o they could pick Zoe Saldana too actually..

I know that the actors don't necessarily have to look the part, but I nominate Erica Cerra for Ashley.

• After some battle sequences-Shepard confrontation with Sovereign.
• Normandy drops off Nuke-Shep leaves to save Ash
• Shepard and Saran confrontation
• Heroic Kaidin dies in the nuke blast as Normandy whisks away.

Side not: Wrex's death will probably be dealt with in a different way as his death is focused on the flexibility of 'convincing' and 'threatening' aspects of the game play, and this is not a factor here. He will surely die though.. as this will pull at our heart strings.

The movie Shepard is NOT "official" or "canon", nor is his/her face and the choices made. It is just ONE possibility out of MANY. It does not ruin anything. Only you can ruin it for yourself if you let the movie go under your skin, but then again why dont you let other peoples Shepards bother you? They might be different from your Shepards? The movie is no different, its just another possibility. Why be so self centered on your own imaginations of Shepard people?

For better or worse, this movie's gonna happen... so I might as well state what I hope to see.

Legendary Pictures has taken bold risks in the past and it's paid off commercially; so here's what I'd like to see:

The ME story changes depending on what the player decides. You can't do this in a movie, but you CAN make two different versions of the story and release 2 versions with clever editing: a MaleShep AND a FemShep version. I'm willing to bet 20$ that fans will want to see both versions (especially if the actress if hot... ). PLUS you can randomly make one Paragade and the other Renegon, one saving the Council/Wrex, use opposite LI/Virmire survivor. This way, there is NO "canon" version, just as there is NO "canon" from a player's perspective.

The movie should restrict itself to ME1. You can always produce a ME2 sequel depending on what kind of commercial success you get with the first one.

Keep the iconic stuff: Jack Wall and his team for the music, Bioware's concept artists for the ME "look & feel", keep the original voice actors whenever they can and choose good look-alikes when they can't.

Shepard having no set look, you could choose any good action-film actor in the correct age bracket. My personal favorites:
maleShep: Gerard Butler - extensive experience in action films, fighting and CGI environments, good looks, buff.
femShep: Rhona Mitra - extensive experience playing in action films and fighting, hot, physical presence.

The real Shepard should and will be used.
Just because your given the choice of altering his appearance (and/or gender), doesn't give you the right to parade around claiming the movie won't work due to the fact that Shepard won't look the way you changed him ?

The decisions, in a streamlined 2 or 3 hour movie will not stop this from being a great movie.. Nobody will actually care if ..examples:

- Ash dies over Kaiden,
- Rachni live, don't die.
- Anderson joins Council or becomes Admiral.

Nobody will be utterly bummed to see it happen differently to what they did. Seriously.  
If you complain that it ruined your experience, then your just bitter.

Gerard Butler?
could think of better.. Christian Bale, great actor and looks like Shep.
I'll settle for Matthew Fox, descent actor and good god.. they could have used him for Shep's model =P haha
