Keep the same music, e.g. The Theme, the same Presidium music, the same Citadel music. I think this is very important, music has a remarkable effects on TV shows and films.
/hugesupport. The music makes ME, for me.

I have my doubts... And I wont bring any expectations to the cinema once it's here. They better pick the right actors for this one, and they better get the story straight, but not too predictable for us who have played the trilogy.
Hopefully It could match the awesomeness of the LoTR movies, but I don't count on it. Games-to-Movies just have a nasty habbit of sucking arse.

Well obviously it wont be a shot for shot remake, they will cut some things like the side missions leading up to vermire or something. The main plot points will of course stay.Arlath wrote...
Seems like it would be tough to fit the massive universe into a 2 hour flick...so it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
Yea, Matthew Fox needs to play as Commander Shepard even though he's 44 years old. The movie should have a few of the back storys all shown at the beggining of the movie. It could show short 5-10min parts of every past event that had happened, for example, like starting at the year 2148AD where humans discover the alien technology on Mars, fast foward a bit to 2157AD where the Alliance made contact for the first time(First contact resulted in war with the Turians), and after that show in 2165AD where humanity is granted an embassy on the Citadel. Also dont forget about the Skyllian Blitz! After showing past events for about 30min into the movie it can go to the present time (2183AD) where the SSV Normandy, the most advanced starship ever created by the Alliance is being put to the test. Aboard is Commander Shepard, a very talented soldier that prooved his skills through lets say the Skyllian Blitz (war hero) or whatever and is now being deployed on an important reconnaissance mission on Eden Prime and to find out what happened to the squad of soldiers. The movie should continue so forth with the main important events that had happened during the game and maybe even touch on some but not many of the side missions. Now talking about choices, Biowares 2 executive producers should decide how Shepard acts (Paragon or Renegade or Paragade).B34TINGU1 wrote...

If they announce Seth Green as Joker than I'll start getting excited
They'll cut more than side missions. With the amount of content Mass Effect has, it's HUGE. And it's going to be longer than 2 hours. They might have to take out most of the side missions - except the ones that really stand out - and Feros. It's an important mission, sure, but I don't think that's going to be put into the movie. They'll probably show about 10-15 minutes of Feros or review over it for about 2-3 minutes in a quick sequence of events. Either way, Feros is not that important.B34TINGU1 wrote...

I agree with both! Both game-to-movies & book-to-movies can suck very badly if we expect that WOW factor out of it. It's like saying Doom & Twilight.rolson00 wrote...

I can't think of anything worse. He's got too much of a stigma attached to him now.
