Keep the same music, e.g. The Theme, the same Presidium music, the same Citadel music. I think this is very important, music has a remarkable effects on TV shows and films.

/hugesupport. The music makes ME, for me.

I have my doubts... And I wont bring any expectations to the cinema once it's here. They better pick the right actors for this one, and they better get the story straight, but not too predictable for us who have played the trilogy.

Hopefully It could match the awesomeness of the LoTR movies, but I don't count on it. Games-to-Movies just have a nasty habbit of sucking arse.

OH MY BIOWARE, SERIOSLY!?!?!? WOHOOOOOOO!! This if any other game is capable of becoming and epic, emotional and an instructive movie! Seriosly, even the theme music fills my eyes with tears of joy and I'm extremely looking forward to the film. It can't fail! Please, just find an actor that looks like the default Shepard model as much as possible. No other would fit to his position. Oh, by the way, keep the theme music from ME2. There's no other epic song like it.

If I ever win in a lottery, I'll definetly donate to BioWare and Legendary Films! Good luck and don't forget to add many special effects! :o

Matthew Fox needs to be Sheppard. For those saying he has a girly voice... have you ever seen him act? I don't hear a voice that is anywhere in the ballpark of "girly", although its not the deepest its still a manly voice.

Seems like it would be tough to fit the massive universe into a 2 hour flick...so it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Well obviously it wont be a shot for shot remake, they will cut some things like the side missions leading up to vermire or something. The main plot points will of course stay.

Yea, Matthew Fox needs to play as Commander Shepard even though he's 44 years old. The movie should have a few of the back storys all shown at the beggining of the movie. It could show short 5-10min parts of every past event that had happened, for example, like starting at the year 2148AD where humans discover the alien technology on Mars, fast foward a bit to 2157AD where the Alliance made contact for the first time(First contact resulted in war with the Turians), and after that show in 2165AD where humanity is granted an embassy on the Citadel. Also dont forget about the Skyllian Blitz! After showing past events for about 30min into the movie it can go to the present time (2183AD) where the SSV Normandy, the most advanced starship ever created by the Alliance is being put to the test.  Aboard is Commander Shepard, a very talented soldier that prooved his skills through lets say the Skyllian Blitz (war hero) or whatever and is now being deployed on an important reconnaissance mission on Eden Prime and to find out what happened to the squad of soldiers. The movie should continue so forth with the main important events that had happened during the game and maybe even touch on some but not many of the side missions. Now talking about choices, Biowares 2 executive producers should decide how Shepard acts (Paragon or Renegade or Paragade).
Posted Image What do you guys think? Naa I have already seen tons of other opinions, you dont need to quote me really. But the movie in my opinion should at least be 2 hours and 30 mins!

I'd like to see Shepard be mainly Paragon in Mass Effect 1, somebody who traditionally supports humanity, but by no means elevates them above anyone else, somebody who tries to solve things peacefully and without conflict if at all possible, then maybe, sometime during Mass Effect 2, he begins to go Renegade, begins wasting lives, being rude, and abrasive, then he becomes downright violent, striking crew members, and all because the Illusive Man is influencing him to do so, eventually he stands up to the Illusive Man, and tells him to go blank himself, or something of the sort, makes up with the crew that he'd 'betrayed', and says that if they don't think he deserves their trust, then so be it, but he is truly sorry, or something, eventually they forgive him, and... well... Collector base... you know the rest...

I second that. I mean voice wise alone, I can't think of any other actors who'd pull off Joker's lines.

Call me a cynic but, with the track record games-to-movies has, I probably won't expect too much.

About all the so called crappy videogame movies out there, I actually like most of them for some reason but the one I don't like is the Max Payne movie, they totally messed up the story.

They'll cut more than side missions. With the amount of content Mass Effect has, it's HUGE. And it's going to be longer than 2 hours. They might have to take out most of the side missions - except the ones that really stand out - and Feros. It's an important mission, sure, but I don't think that's going to be put into the movie. They'll probably show about 10-15 minutes of Feros or review over it for about 2-3 minutes in a quick sequence of events. Either way, Feros is not that important.

I agree with both! Both game-to-movies & book-to-movies can suck very badly if we expect that WOW factor out of it. It's like saying Doom & Twilight. Posted Image

I can't think of anything worse. He's got too much of a stigma attached to him now.

I kind of hope the story isn't about Shepard - too many differences in appearance/character/gender for too many people. Plus, what happens if they can't get actors like Seth Green to play the characters they voiced? No-one but Brandon Keener could do Garrus justice, either. I would not be the happiest of bunnies. And an unhappy bunny can be surprisingly scary.

So, personally, I'd love a story about the First Contact war, or young Anderson, or even something that takes place after whatever happens in ME3. That way, even if the film is crap, as games or books to movies often are, it won't affect our memories of this brilliant trilogy (yes, I'm assuming ME3 will be fantastic :-))

Btw, Rolson00 - definitely wouldn't object to seeing the delectable Mr Tennant in ME: The Movie, either.x

Hum, He's a good actor but I can't see him pulling of Shepard, too skiny, who you thinking he could play?
