I will be absolutely shocked if this movie is the one in a million video game movie that is actually good. There is just so much to pack into it. I'll probably still watch it, though. Hope for the best, expect the worst.

Why are people still discussing details around the games? It's entirely different timeline. Shepard won't feature in the movie as it will be around the events of the First Contact War. Read the description in IMDB then speculate...

I would want that the film would go trough a Rebel Geth's Perspective, That Joins the Normandy. It would be more cool if it was in Third Person like in the game,

They should make the movie's history about the first war that Shepard was considered a hero (I've forgotten the name right now). It would be fantastic to know how it was and how greatly sheppard started his "carrer" as a hero

If theres going to be Shepard in this movie, i hope they don cast Matthew Fox cus hes way too old!! Hes like 43(?) now and 45 when the movie is supposed to come out. My vote goes for Channing Tatum after seeing his awesome performance in "Dear John"

Gross, Channing Tatum is a teerrrrible actor. Also 43 isn't that old for an actor. Denzel Washington is 55, Bruce Willis is 55, and Samuel Jackson is 61. All these guys have had lead roles in plenty on movies in recent years. If Fox was around their age and they were planning on doing 3 movies (with about 2 years spread between them) then maybe his age would be a big concern. 43 is just fine.

Btw I wouldn't want Michelle Rodriguez. She is a really sub-par actor overall. Also I think the character of Ashley needs to be a character that people fall in love with and sympathise with (while also being tough) and I have never seen Rodriquez pull that off in anything shes ever done. Her characters in the past have either not been significant enough (she mostly does minor roles) or very hateable (like on Lost). Ashley needs to be more lovable and I think someone like Jessica Biel would be a much better fit, even if she doesn't look as much like Ashley.

I will wait for more information before passing judgment, but having a movie adaptation of the game with default Sheploo would be horrible. Everyone has their own individual Shepard, and I certainly wouldn't pay to watch basically a playthrough of ME with a Shepard I do not like.

Jesus Christ if you're going to suggest somebody other than Matt Fox atleast suggest somebody that can friggen act and look atleast remotely like Shepard, not to mention - two completely different personalities. For the love of god no Channing Tatum.

I hope they actually cast actors that can really act. I love the idea of Matthew Fox playing Shepard because he fits the physical appearance well enough and he's also a really great actor. Keanu Reeves, on the other hand, is not a good actor and I hope Keanu Reeves doesn't make it anywhere near this film. I can sort of see Michelle Rodriguez, although she looks a bit young, being Ashley, but she always plays that same slow-speaking, dry humored character and it's not only a little irritating, but it's not Ashley. As for the alien characters, I think it would just be ok to use CGI for them except for possibly Liara and just go with whoever played their voices in the game. And as for Channing Tatum, I don't think he possesses the ability to not talk like complete "gangster" tool. Besides, Shepard isn't supposed to be young. I still think Matthew Fox would be perfect.

i really dont want there to be a shep in this movie because shepard is suppose to be your character that was one of the points of makeing your own shepard so that he would be yours not someone elses makeing a set shepard ruins the whole idea of immersing your self in that game and making it your own

not all shepards had that career background, others had a ruthless or sole survivor.

Thats only the 5,000th person to post this exact same thing. You don't like it then don't see if its going to ruin your precious image your yooouuurr beellloved Shepard


But seriously people need to just suck it up. "Its not my shepard! Its not my shepard! Its not my shepard!" Wah wah wah. Its not mine either so why is it not a problem for me? Because I realise its not that big of a deal. Nobody outside of a couple thousand fanboys nobody wants to see a mass effect movie that isn't about sheppard so just deal with it.

Sorry, its just getting reeeaaall old.
