At first, I was on the fence about the movie being based on the events of the first game, or on those in Mass Effect: Revelation. Well I finished reading Revelation last night, and I can firmly say I want the movie based on ANYTHING BUT that book!

I think a movie about another character could really get more people hooked on the series.

I just don't see the movie being all that without Commander Shepard. Even if Commander Shepard is not in the movie, I'm still going to see it.

Seth Green should be casted as Joker, since fans say that joker looked like his voice actor, and the tone of his voice makes his jokes very comical (since seth green is a comedian actor). I hope the executives of the movie will cast Seth Green during Pre-production.

i do love this idea. the game so far was like a movie to begin with. just hope they stick with the ME1 codex and background when delevoping the story or background for the movie. ME2 really switched things around and left alot of things out when moving from ME1 to ME2

But as some of today's hollywood movies concerned...

I'm afraid of 1 thing and i hope Bioware and Legendary Pictures take this into consideration.

Please and i mean PLEASE dont overdo the movie with insane impossible scenes (like for example someone jumping down from a building without getting hurt at all like nothing happened).

Or so many special effects that the movie doesnt feel "realistic" anymore.



Of course a movie is not "realistic" by itself.. but they can still create a "realistic" feeling to it. like it feels "real"

I read on IMDB that Matthew Fox was cast as Shepard.

I read on IMDB that the sky is beige.

Yeah I read about that too, also I read an article on gamer rant and they said it was confrimed that Matthew Fox would be Shepard. I hope thats true, Matthew Fox is perfect for the role.

I'm pretty sure that you are not the only one.

Legendary Pictures has a good track record. Look at what they did with Batman, a property people thought was throughly played out. 300 was a visionary picture that was also based on a comic book.



Let's hope this project gets the right creative team that understands the medium of video games and how to best transfer the experience over to the silver screen.

Cant say i am one bit surprised... I will curb my enthusiasm until i see the trailer. It doesnt bother me if they bring the ME1 movie to the screen, but yes the First Contact war would be a GREAT opener for the story.



I do hope that they allow the Actors from the game like Kieth David to reprise their role's in the film. And it'd be nice to see Lance Henricksen playing Admiral Hackett.

How about Ben Browder? He's well trained, is familiar with the Genre' (Farscape and SG-1)

YOU DONT HAVE TO GET SOME MAINSTREAM HOLLYWOOD TIGHT ASS to be in this film!

In my opinion, some of them let their EGO's get in the way of the story and the overall suffers greatly because of it.

Good point about Ben Browder, he does a really good job in SG-1 playing Cameron Mitchell. However, the downside is that with actors who are well known, you don't tend to take them seriously. For example, having an actor who is good at acting however not well known, if they appeared as Shepard, people would label that actor as Shepard. But with someone who is already well known, it would be hard to take them seriously as Shepard. Do you understand what I mean?
