I don't think they will base the movie story around shepard due to gender, race and background variation, they will probably base it around one of the novel or comic stories, but this movie is bound to be awesome because Legendary Pictures is working with the producers of mass effect.



this isn't uwe boll or some amateur wanting to cash in on the francise stamping the mass effect name on it

dont forget there wont be a para/rena bars in the movies it won't be the games word for word they will chang and even add bits that if they even do a movies on shepard they might want to do another story in the mass effect universe

I hope that it's a separate story set in the Mass Effect universe. Perhaps the second human SPECTER, trying to live up to Shep. Heck, have Shep and the gang play small roles in different parts of the movie, or have this be about an alternate working against Shepard, believing him corrupted by Cerberus.

I got the perfect plot, Anderson life, with a second ending after credits... Anderson Nihlus and Shep seeing Eden Prime distress call... great... I can almost feel it...

What if they made the Mass Effect movie where there can be a part 1 and part 2? Like how Harry Potter and the deathly hallows movie is going to be. So it would be like part 1 then 5 months later or maybe 7 months later than part 2 comes out for the conclusion. I think they should do that if they are going to cover most of the game if its going to be about the Mass Effect game. Part 1 and 2 should be atleast 2 hours and 30 min long, heck why not 3 hours lol. What do you guys think?

 I'm not quite sure why everyone wants a TV series - Mass Effect's plot and theme does not resemble that of a TV Series, and it would actually be harder to fit the game into one, as you'd have to tear the plot to pieces trying to get it to fit into a 13 episode season. Mass Effect is built more like a movie, it would actually constrain the story more if they made it into a series.

Sounds like a waste of money and resources to me. Why not just cut out some obligatory scenes and remove all the plot diversions and make it a 2 hour movie?

I am starting to get feeling this movie is going to end up like Dune even if they make it over three hours. The scriptwrighter is in lots of trobule because he has litterally  translate TV season worth of material to a movie. And if you are not familiar whith Dune the movie lets just say it is just random scenes whithout of plot.

Mathew Fox of Lost has just been cast for the Mass Effect movie. For all assumptions this means there will be a male Shepard in the movie, maybe centered around him. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0289142/ Way to go Bioware, taking an epic cinematic game and milking the living hell out of it. Seriously disgusted by this move.
