Like a lot of you, I am glad there is a Mass Effect movie in the making. To me the Mass Effect game is already as rich as the ME world could be, no movie could tie you to the characters in 2 hours like a game in 30 hrs.

I would still watch it on premiere night though :B

A movie, would of course, not include Shepherd, but I definitely want to see the First Contact War: It'd be nice to Grissom and Ashley's Dad (Maybe even a little of Anderson and Admiral Ahern?) kicking Turian Tush. A Trilogy would be cool too.

the Default "Canon" Shep is a Male Soldier named John Shepard.  Which is likely what this one will be.

Yeah. And it's likely John Shepard will be Renegade through most of the movie. Maybe even a little r&r w/ Ashley.

Legendary Pictures has a good track record. Look at what they did with Batman, a property people thought was throughly played out. 300 was a visionary picture that was also based on a comic book.

Let's hope this project gets the right creative team that understands the medium of video games and how to best transfer the experience over to the silver screen.

Anyways, if anyone wants to check out the recently new movie by Legendary called Sucker Punch, you will get a taste of what the Mass Effect Movie might look like.

Also, check out Legendary Pictures on Wikipedia. I know this is ME movie website, but the ME film is not the only film they're featuring in the next year or 2.

Or if that doesnt awnser the question think about when they canceled KOTOR and we got TOR a MMO with montly taxes of witch Lucas gets a cut ...I take solace that he doesnt get a penny from ME but EA is a different story

Wait what? What was that about SGU? The series is absolutely fantastic. They're doing a fabulous job with this series. There is a severe lack of non-action-based sci-fi films/series out there and as such this series is beautiful, exactly the same as BSG with a more interesting story so far.

As far as the ME movie goes, let's just wait for announcements shall we?

To be honest, I don't like Stargate Universe as much as Stargate Atlantis but I still watch SGU anyway. But that is just my  opinion.

SGU and SGA looked like a farce to me I liked the canadian...uhm Rodney I think it was.SG1 will still be the best along with the original movie with Kurt Russel and the movies about SG1.

Great news to hear. Hopefully with all these great people and companies behind the movie it will turn out as good as the games. I just hope the creators and people behind the games have a lot of input in what goes on. We all see what happens when you let anyone do just anything with IP's. *cough* Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Alone in the Dark, Dead or Alive, Mario Bros, House of the Dead, Doom, Dungeon Siege, Far Cry, Street Fighter again....*cough*

Awful writing,  poor pacing, sub-par acting from 80% of the cast, and the fact that Shyamalan is generally a bonehead ruined the Last Airbender movie. Not the fact that it was live-action.
