It will probably be Shepard stopping Saren from unleashing some ultimate doomsday weapon (no reapers present), and the end will probably be a Shepard vs Saren fist-fight on top of a volcano.

People who think this will properly retell the games' storylines with accurate representations of the characters are deluding themselves a hell of a lot, I reckon.

Ok... I've kind of thought it through since my last post, and this might not be a bad idea after all. As long as its not FemShep (sorry guys, This was Jennifer Hale's worst work... I'm a fan, and she was THE best in the MGS series, bar none) I'd watch it. It would be awesome if Drew Karpshyn had some input on the writing, even if it is not going to be him doing it. The big problem here would be the budget, but let the people who know about that argue about it. I'll probably watch it, and my only requirement will be to have a male Shepard.

Being a Tali fan, yes, I would be biased to the side of a Tali romance of some sort. But if Shepard romances someone else, I'll live. In the end, I think what we all really want is a respectable ME movie.

You know, as much as we (you) complain, you're going to see the movie anyway, because it's MASS EFFECT. And there's a chance that the movie will be less-than-good, and there's a chance that it won't be "canon," but it's a movie, and you go for the entertainment.



And it would be impossible to make the movie appeal to each and every person, because every person plays differently. They would have to make literally dozens of different versions of the movie to make everyone happy (which would be ridiculous and expensive).



Don't let the movie ruin the game for you, if it comes to that. The movie won't be a real part of the story, as far as I'm concerned.

I won't see it, though, I don't watch most Hollywood movies as they tend to suck.

I'm not bashing the product. There's nothing to bash yet.
I'm using hyperbole to illustrate the plain and simple fact that this movie will not in any way compare to the games. The characters and the storylines will be forced into change to be able to acommodate for the movie format.

You will not have Shepard stopping the reaper invasion unless they cut out and change 90% of the storyline to let Shep accomplish said feat in an hour's time.

The characters will not all be present, or at the very least they will not ALL be characterized as they are in the game. It's not possible to develop all the characters, even if they solely try to recreate ME1. Some characters will be cut, pushed into the background, or changed completely to fit into the new adapted movie storyline.

It's just not possible to retell the story of the games in a movie. It will be bastardized. That is, unless they decide to go the route of Resident Evil Degeneration, which I honestly think they won't do because that wouldn't appeal to the mainstream.
