That's what they done for the movie Unstoppable...being a train engine driver he looked more rugged...even had that unshaven Shepard look...

I agree a mini series done right would be amazing.  But if they were going to do a movie they should do one about first contact.

Or Ronald D. Moore could do a complete TV series about the quarian vs. geth conflict

late but wth. Whoever mades the movie, please ask Alien vs predator to tips... while those movies are not the best still they have more action than dialogue.... for almost the most part.



Still skeptical though, most likely this movie will turn out like a tron movie, or like a iron man 2 with 1 hr 50 mins dialogue, 10 minutes actual action....

You are looking at the wrong franchise if you're adverse to dialog.  The Mass Effect games have more dialog than any other AAA class game franchise out there.

Please... I'm a hudge fan of both Alien and Predator, and those movies, especially the second, are almost an insult to the original sagas. Let's avoid to have something similar for ME...

Karl Urban for shepard hands down. That guy can play kaidan or something.

Oh no... This is horrible. If this movie comes out then Shepard will be officially a bald guy with an idiot of a girlfriend (Ashley, Miranda). And anyways, there are milions of things that the movie people might ruin! Think of Twilight and Harry Potter! Good as books, ****ty actors, bad directors, awful movies! The only actor I would trust to be Shepard if male is Robert Downey Jr. (Not sure how to spell but he is Sherlock Holmes) because he has a natural charm which would lessen the effectiveness of the awfulness of the directors.

What don't people understand about this last part?  EA/BioWare are not financing this movie.  The rights were bought by Legendary.  They are the ones responsible for the budget.  No money is going to come out of BioWare's coffers to make this movie and it wouldn't harm any future games.  It can only help BioWare as I'm sure they'd get a percentage of all profits made.  

The movie may never get made, but people need to stop being so ridiculous about it if it does.  Any half intelligent person can tell what a Hollywood production company would do with this kind of IP.  If anyone thinks that it would be about anything but a Male Paragon Shepard starting with the ME1 storyline, they're either riding a short bus or are deluding themselves.

Does anyone else think that if they based the movie off of the first ME book it would be a better start to a movie franchise? The book gave us a very good back story to the rise of Saren and might help get casual fan's and people who haven't played the games into the franchise easier.

Conditions

• Seth Green MUST play Joker. Hell, he is Joker. So what if the character doesn't look like Seth Green. Seth Green is a great actor and hilarious guy. He brings Joker to life. I wouldn't enjoy the movie without having Joker in it.
  
  
• Whoever is making costumes better get it right! I want the N7 armor on Shepard's body! It better be great looking too! Nothing that moves like cardboard!
  
  
• The aliens better look great. I'm sure that isn't too hard. I personally don't want the aliens to be so obviously digital. Look at the monkey alien in Lost in Space. Seriously...look at that monkey. Movie make-up artists can do wonders on sets. An Asari should be the easiest by far.

• Have a great soundtrack. Loved the song at the end of ME1.

• Don't let Tali's face be seen. You probably know this already, but I'm just saying. If we see a face (at least one you can make out) through her mask then you've ruined the entire mystery. If we ever see Tali's face it should be in the game first, not the movie. I'll sign the first petition to keep the Quarian Mystery Alive!
  
  
• Since the icon of the games is the MShep, we can pretty much guess that 'he' will be male. So, who will you get to romance? That will possibly be a problem for you since many fans are divided between Liara (Oh yeah, baby) and Ashley. To have a romance or not to have one? The game has a very good romancing aspect and that is difficult to ignore when you're translating this towards the movie. Which fans are you willing to disappoint and overjoy?  We will have to see. Maybe a poll is in order? (Just a suggestion! Probably not a good one)
  
  
• Don't let them manipulate you. Keep to your story and creative minds. You're all amazing and gifted. Remember you have a lot of fans. Don't let anyone change the course of the Mass Effect story. Character's personalities shouldn't be changed and the storyline shouldn't be switched about. Remember, ME is already cinematic in itself. That is its greatest appeal. You already wrote it.

That was an awesome movie. Sure it wasn't Sherlock Holmes but he played a brilliant character as he does in just about all of his movies. Blame the writers if you have a problem with Holmes in that movie, it ain't Downy's fault.
