Shepard is promoted as a male in the trailers and everything. No matter how much you like the female version better, it will never be the promoted Shepard. I know there's a LOT of FemShep love around these boards, but even the stats released by BioWare revealed that 80% of the Shepards around were males.

FemShep will never be mainstream. Deal with it. No hate. Just a fact.

I know what you mean. I have a male and a female Shepard. My main character is male because I'm male I guess... I really like 'em both though. Same with Paragon and Renegade. I believe it will be the same for that too in the movie. But maybe the Shepard of the movie will be a bit of both Paragon and Renegade.

Yea, for any other case, one picture is enough, but for commander shepard NO
And  yeah, he is a model but the most of the actors out there, were "models" first. (ex. Mike Vogel, Robert Pattinson, Tyrese Gibson,Josh duhamel, just mention some.)
Acting is Easy...! looking exactly as the hero from your favorite game, NO.
I just pray that bioware dont lose his opportunity of making a good movie from a game. for once in the history of cinema.

He is dutch so i doubt his english would be very good. I guess you can fix that by having him be dubbed by Mark Meer

Which ever story they choose most of you guys won't be happy. So just relax and hope that the movie actually happens. Then when they start making the movie you can complain that movie about Shephard is not good enough, etc

Maybe (for those that question the M/F Shephard) instead of doing the the main character as Shephard himself, they could invent new characters to take on Shephard's characteristics. Take for example: the main character portraying the male Shephard, whereas a secondary character portrays the female Shephard. Rather than just using the name Shepard, invent and construct news identities, however, portraying the roles that both male and female Shephards have within the game.

Even Robert Pattinson is an  actor, model, musician, and producer. (From Twilight Saga, in case you don't know).

Look that's not personal, but......one of the guys in cloverfield, the soldier in transformer  (which sucked, in my opinion...) and the other one...ok Pattinson is quite famous but...what is that supposed to prove?
Do you really think they're picking up a 42 year old dutch model to star in a (most likely) huge production like this?

I'd like to see him in a cameo by the way, that would be nice...
All the fans would like to see the "real one" in action but CGI is the only way they can do it. Otherwise they can just pick up some Hollywood moron with more muscles than talent and film one more piece of **** like most (not all) of those superhero movies...like anyone does nowadays.

The point to me is that ME is already so much of a film itself, even more than a film since you have the same involvement and pace, plus you can actually change the course of it depending on your actions.
So what is the point of making a film out of it?
BW is looking straight at the incomes if you ask me...

You know we're just keeping low expectations, it'll hurt less...
