Honestly, a fully CGI movie would suck and im sure the story will be related to Shepard, it has to be!

I have always think of a movie were you can choose what is gonna happen next, having different endings and outcomes, similar to ME, the game. This would be the best opportunity to insert such an idea into a movie. If on DVD, you would choose through your remote, if on a Movie theater, the audience could vote on what to do next. The possibilities would be so large and entertaining.

It hasn't been done on the big screen yet, but it has been done. My senior year of high school (2003) we wet on a trip to a "future technology" exibit in Indianapolis, IN- one of the things they had there was a movie where the audience voted to determine the choices the protagonist made (each seat in the auditorium had a touch pad built into the armrest that you used to vote). The "movie" was lame, but the concept was really phenomenal. It's a really exciting piece of tech that probably won't be financially viable in the film market for another 15-20 years, but that would be the way to do a ME movie right.

I kinda think that a full CGI movie would be good. Or just make it like FF. Advent children looks awesome, doesn't it? Imagine Mass Effect in that style. I wouldn't mind. And it wouldn't have an expiration date either.

Avatar style mo-cap + live action please.

In fact, I think Sam Worthington would be fine as Shepard, despite the accent.

You've never seen Avi Arad's name before? He's quite the prolific film producer.

They're all producers. Arad founded Marvel Studios, Tull and Jashni are with Legendary Pictures.

Even though you generally don't hear about producers, unless you've been living under a rock you've heard of their movies. X-Men, Spiderman, Iron Man, pretty much every Marvel-related property would fall under Arad. 300, The Dark Knight, Inception, and Hangover were all done by Legendary.

I think Guy Pierce would make an excellent Commander Shepard. He'd have to bulk up of course.

I think Acting skills is more important then the Shepard "look" though, to be honest. Given that Shepard has no real definitive look for each individual player. Look (or, Look-alike, rather) is superficial,in the end, no one will be impressed by a perfect "look" without the acting to boot.

Acting, on the other hand, far more important.

So yeah.

Other characters, I think would be good are David Hyde Pierce as Mordin (He's Niles from Frasier, although mordin is a completely different character, I know he could do it: ) - I know mordin would be CGI, but Hyde Pierce would Mo-cap and voice really well, I think. Even better if they could do some form of Prosethetic Robot makeup, because CGI still doesn't look that great on movies, even these days.

I think the cast definately needs to be primarily mature actors, 38 years and older for the experienced characters (shepard, anderson, garrus, mordin, thane, kaiden) and maybe 25-38 for the younger cast members, I know with movies the temptation is to make all the people younger, or more "handsome" but I think that's unwarranted and often results into a showy "b-grade" style movie.

Seriously, imagine a 30 year old Shepard. Be awful. Mark Vanderloo was almost 40 when they scanned in his face.

I didn't like star trek, although I thought the presentation was quite good. Needed a much more epic score by someone like Jack Wall :D

This movie HAS to use the games OST as the basis for the entire score. Sure, record more appropriate versions, but I don't want some new crap that will ruin the atmosphere.

Sam L. Jackson as Black Shep....

but serious, Avatar style mocap would work and i dont want a mass effect movie as we know it. First Contact war movie would work. Don't know any main characters, so less chance to mess up, and would be cool to see humanity's first reaction to turians. Plus a 2001: SO- like moon scene, but on mars, where ppl find the ruins and when charon relay is discovered would be cool.

A femshep would be a refreshing surprise. But I highly doubt it, given Bioware marketed the game with a male shepard.

I just hope whoever directs it actually understand the basic fundementals to filming. Unlike 99% of hollywood directors who think that by jamming in as much CGI crap as possible it will make a good movie. I still shiver at the thought of the Star Wars prequel. And the Last Airbender movie was just heartbreakingly bad.
