That is a joke.

I wouldn't say that I just think making the ME games into movies is a mistake. I like the idea of a movie based on the universe but not on the games. I faith in BW if it doesn't sound like its going to be good they will scrap it.

I prayed this day wouldn't come, I will have to see this movie but since it's legendary pictures then it will be totally hollywoodinized, it will ruin my personal game experience, I suspect that will happend with alot of fans.

The full title is "Mass Effect: The Adventures of Mordin"



It covers one of his adventures from his time with the STG. Kirrahe will also be in it. Not much else is known.

I've just realised how they could put Shepard in and keep everyone happy .

At the end of the film, after everything has been resolved, there could be an extra scene at the end, with Udina speaking to Nihlus.

Udina: I'll make the call...

(Calls up Nihlus)

Udina: We have another candidate for the Spectres. Very good marine, N7 class, an Alliance hero.

Nihlus: Alright. I'll look them up. Name? Rank?

(The camera pans down from Udina and focuses on an N7 helmet lying on a table.)

Udina: Commander. Commander Shepard.

That would be pretty sweet, actually. Keeps everything open, and assuming it would be a prequel, leads nicely into the game.

We'll never know until it's out. I'm holding my breath until the movie hits the theatre. You never know. We may be suprised after all. Look at prince of persia. Jerry Brookheimer did the production and it looks really good. Still these producers, they are not that bad at all. Besides, Casey Hudson is in this as an executive producer. He is not going to let it get destroyed. Unless it's only for the $$

Well judging by the "who will you choose to be Shepard" already indicates that there will be an actor playing commander shepard. I honestly think it will be a bad idea since there is already a story about commander shepard which YOU PLAY AS in the game.  I think they should be doing it like this.  They should have a story which either revolves around the same time as when shepard is hunting Saren but there is a different character or go for a story which takes place before the trilogy happens.  Like how Blade runner did with the game.  There was a different blade runner who bumped into some of the same character's from the movie and would often show Harrison ford's character in the background at some points in the game.  They should create an original story but also involves some of the elements of mass effect, That way fans of the original won't be disappointed and new fans will also check the game to go further into the story after watching the possible film.  Its a win/win.  But if you want to be gay about it, then just make another Bloodrayne, Alone in the dark, and Dragon ball evolution and just **** all over the mass effect story and franchise.

Definately agree.. I would love to see a movie about the first contact wars even the Rachni and Krogan wars would be epic.. Just don't touch the Games story its already embedded history as great

BioWare Im sorry but I think its stupid ,because Mass effect is a non-linear game and it cant be a prequel because the player chose the background of the character

Why? Movies based on video games are usually a financial flop, terribly made, and have even ruined franchises. So again, why?

I doubt they'll do that though. I feel like its going to be royally messed up by Holywood.

Making the movie a side-story to the games is not going to appeal to the mainstream!



They have to capitalize on the characters and the story! Make the real mad dollaz.

Don't get me wrong, I like Mass Effect.



But a movie would be an injustice at best, a complete travesty at worst.



First off, they'd compress the storyline down to fit it within a minimal running time.

This would also include the often occurring step of cutting exposition scenes so the movie is a fast packed action bonanza.



Then each sequel would be progressively worse as the producer or whoever stops caring.

Those movies you cited above demonstrate this.



And finally (also demonstrated by the above movies), they'd ignore canon completely when and if they feel like it, to make their own story.



Also, computer game to movie adaptions have never been successful.

And I don't expect this one to be.



I honestly hope this project does not go ahead.



If we want a movie, get Bioware to do it in CGI themselves personally.

It's the only way we'll get a decent product.

It could be a prequel, if it didn't focus specifically on Shepard, and focused on the general events leading up to the game. Or if they use the Defualt Shepard as their basis. A lot of people probably use Default Shep anyway, so I wouldn't necessarily mind.

We've already covered how no matter what they do in the movie, someone will alwaysbe unhappy. Unless you're the one making the movie, you can't really complain about the direction of it. You don't have to watch it.
