First Contact War would be perfect and/or they can just do a movie adaptation of the comics (haven't read any of them, though)

the best decision they can make when it comes to making a Mass Effect movie would be to not have it involve Shepard...at all...

Yeah but how many video to movie have taken such a route? None. After the studio sells off the rights Hollywood a*** F***s the story, charectors, design, vision and makes it a awful product in the end.
The only group of people that usually can pull off a good story has been from the forum of an Anime. Side stories and retellings. Compared to the s**t Hollywood puts out.

Gives an interesting insight into the whole movie thing, and I can't help but agree with it, really.

Wht I'm saying is that Anime adaptation of another media has done a better job of telling the main story or a side story.
I just don't want the ME movie to be a ****hole POS.

As has been stated somewhere probably about a hundred pages back, just because a title has been optioned, does not mean that it has been scripted or even greenlit for production. Sometimes companies just jump on titles so that nobody else has the chance to do so.

A bit off topic perhaps but not all cartoons are for children. Even though I'm not a big anime fan myself there's a lot of good 'adult' anime around. I've seen some of them and liked (some of) them. Inside the general genre of anime there's loads of different styles that attract a different kind of public. I personally doubt they'd use the 'bigeyed'-childish kind for something like Mass Effect.

Is the anime supposed to be a full-length feature?

I just think that there's going to be 2 movies, live action and the animated one. I also think that the animated movie is going to be released a lot of time before the live action.
It may be something to test the waters, it may be something to spread the ME universe.
I wouldn't be surprised if, after a (hypothetical) success for the animated movie, they launched a animated tv series.
Funimation has a channel on youtube, a website (weird, but it's there), so you can go there and see for yourself how they do animes.
I personally think it has nothing to do with the ME universe, although it looks good, I've got a glimpse of a show that reminded me of that japanese movie Spirited Away.
If the plot is good, I don't care how it has been made, it can be anything, I'll watch first and complain or commend later.

Then good news! I've yet to see a child in the ME universe. Seriously, if somebody see's one please post a link to a video.
I'm suddenly very aware of how creepy that sounded.

male sheppard: Mark Meer
female shepard: Jennifer Hale.
basically if the same actors for all characters that did the game will also appear in the movie it would give the film a more realistic tone/feeling.
