If Shepard is going to be in the movie let the guy who voices him(or her) in the game play the roll.

But personally i would prefer not to have him/her in the film. That about first contact war was a nice idea.

I like the Resident Evil films. You just have to separate the movies from the games. Who cares if it leaves a bad mark, as long as YOU like it? As long as you're having fun, you don't need to worry about the movies.

I don't sit down to play RE5, have a blast, and then suddenly say "Oh man, those Resident Evil movies totally ruined this game now. I can't play this."

Because that would be silly.

The idiots who claim Sheploo is canon will always claim he is canon. The movie won't change that.

That said, when was the last time you heard people complaining about Kristanna Loken ruining Bloodrayne's character?
Bad example, since nobody cares about Bloodrayne... point is, the movie will not be canon.

The alien squadmates could very easily be played by their voice actors, because I'm assuming they'd end up being CGI. The asari could either be done with CGI or lots of makeup. Human characters would be interesting to cast, though.

Well considering what the last game-to-movie I saw was like I am not that hopeful that this is such a good idea. Always hope that things turn out well but there is one name on the list of people involved with the deal that strikes dread in my hopes.

I'm not overly keen on the idea of the movie. Why? Most likely there will be Shepard. Male Shepard and no, I don't wanna see male Shepard. I'm sick and tired of getting male Shepard everywhere you look. Having ANY Shepard, male or female, would mean choices being made, choices of class, story arc, Paragon, Renegate, whatever, there'll always be someone dissatisfied and disappointed. There's so much more to the ME universe than Shepard and the crew - books, history background - for pity's sake use it, safest bet to make majority of people happy.

You missed the point, the resident evil films promiced to be as faithfull to the games, chars and all, and ended up just having chars, with very little to do with what people enjoyed about RE, when afterlife comes out i'e, people look and go whatever, atleast the prince of persia and slient hill are the closest to the game storys.

Movies of games tend to try to do two things, sell the name so you buy things about i'e the games, and cause ITS the latest thing, and resident evil films was mostly laugh at, but the first one, it's what could happen to mass effect after so much effort to get noticed by the people who don't normaly buy games.

Drell, Asari, Quarians & Husks can easily be made with LOTS of make up, Geth, Turians, Krogan,Salarian could be done CGI.

as for the Cast
Shepard: Jason Statham
Ashley Willians: The Chick that plays as the Pilot in AVATAR forgot the name
Kaiden could be played by Downey Jr. IMO or Jacob could be done by Will Smith?
Miranda : Jessica Alba <3<3<3<3

Joker: Well DUh Seth Green
The Ilusive Man.... Hmmm IDK... Al Pacino?
Anderson could be played by its same voice actor i forgot his name too lol
