All I have to say about Legendary producing the pic is, less Watchmen and more Ninja Assassin
Please god, no. What we want is more watchmen, in the sense that they stick to the games as close as possible. I mean, it´s not gonna be a 20/30 hour movie with every choice up to the viewer, but cutting Garrus or Wrex from the team or something like that is a big no-no.

And I'm sorry, but Female Shepard is not canon. If you're on all three of the damn cases, then you're canon. I don't like the fact that canon Shepard is a Renegade **** who let the Council die, but guess what? I got over it, and would still watch the movie even though my Shepard is Paragon. Get over yourselves.

I hope this gets a good director. My dream would have Alfonso Cuaron at the helm. Drew Karpyshyn should write the film's script. I would love the Chemical Brothers or Trent Raznor to work on the Score. And Chris Hemsworth as Sheppard.

Depends on the people behind it. Nearly every game to movie adaption has had terrible backing from director to writers. Hopefully this will change with Legendary Pictures who are behind the film (BM Begins, Dark Knight, DK Rises, Inception, The Watchmen etc) who are probably the best thing about movie making in this day and age.Endgame22 wrote...
I am also done for an ME movie but for these game movies to really be great they truly have to be like the direction Halo Helljumper is going made for the fans by the fans, cause it's true these movie adaptions of games are always terrible look at Resident Evil terrible! I enjoy them as movies but from the games horrible! I just hope they go on a right direction and pick a great and strong male actor to play as Shepard, i wish female shep would get some airtime too.

There have been some good ones though the Tomb Raiders were wel ldone films I thought and although Doom wasn't a gerat film I didn't think it was a bad one either.
I just think they need people familiar with the game and thwe genre of sci fi in general I think as for actors again I think people that aer experienced in doing Sci fi films is essential. I'd be tempted to bring Seth Green who plays Joker in the game to reprise his role in the film given he's a professional actor anyway and he knows the character. not suer about the other roles though

lookinf orward to ME3 as well had it per-ordered for some time now from GamrplayElliegator wrote...
Can't stand male Shepard (especially the "canon" one), so I don't think I could stomach a movie featuring him. Female Shepard would probably be too much to hope for, but if the plot focused on any of the other characters I'd be down for it.

To be honest, I'm not totally on board with the idea of a Mass Effect movie - Well, not the one that Bioware has in mind. What I'm not on board with is including Shepard in it. I really don't like MaleShep, his wooden voice actor put me off choosing to play him, and FemShep... Oh, who am I kidding?! I knew they were never going to choose her for the movie! But there really was no logical reason why they couldn't have at least tried-... ahem, back on topic. The Mass Effect universe is so large and expansive, with a very rich and detailed implied history. They counldn't have used the movie to explore some key points in history? How about the novels? As far as I know, Revelation is a prequel centered around Saren. Or better still, Retribution, since the two main character; Kahlee Sanders and David Anderson share the leading roles. Or how about having the movie be about the First Contact War, or even Shepard's parents (since the only real "canon" Shepard is his/her Mother if you're a Spacer)
Basically, I think adding Shepard in is a very very bad idea. This is because I believe that Shepard isn't a character, but a projection of the player. Everyone's Shepard is different, given the vast amount of decisions you can make during the game. Everything, from the sex, gender, personality, backstory, family history, appearance, ect, are all up to the player. A lot of the times, people even customise their Shepard to appear just like the player. Bioware have always stressed that Shepard's customisability is so that the player can feel more immersed in the story. And up until now, they've triumphed in doing just that - because often it feels like your next decision could effect the entire galaxy. But now... Sigh... Now they've just cheapened everything.
Plus, for many female gamers out there who were super excited about the fact that Bioware was FINALLY acknowledging FemShep's existence, this is a punch in the gut.
