The whole idea behind making a movie is to bring the story to a different audience and potentially gain a bigger fanbase who will play your games.
I have liked very few movies based on books or video games. But the one i liked best would have to be Prince of Persia. The only thing about it I hated was the ending. It should have ended with him leaving just like the game but him saying something personal like the nickname in the game so she knows that his story could be true.
I would prefer the movie to not include Shep due to the fact that everybody's story was personal and different but if you do do the first, second, third, or the entire trilogy; do not change what happens.

Mass Effect is too big detailed and way too small for a movie.
I recommend to create a series of Mass Effect.
On this way Bioware would be able to show and create a lot more.
Mass effect is alot more than just 1-2-3 hours movie.
Even if you create a Saga.
I think Mass Effect deserves better.

Why do i have the feeling that if the movie is about Shepard, it will be a male? (of course he will be male, who i'm kidding. 98% of action movies have dudes. And that's why those movies are boring. And old).
Shepard is NOT CANON MALE OR FEMALE. Even in the Redemption comics, Shep is not identified as male or female as it should be (it's left to our fantasy, my Shepard is female). So if there's going to be a movie, it better be about Illusive Man, Saren or even Aria T'Loak. Protheans. It should be someone else from the ME universe, besides Shep.
Most action movies suck, why you people want to ruin Mass Effect? Ugh.

I am not sure what kind of state this movie is in, but I hope it is made with Shepard as the protag. Even though all of us played it differently it would be quite fun to see how folks like Avi Arad and Legenderay Studio Scriptwriters interpret it.
I would love to see a Femshep movie, with someone like Charlize Theron or Jennifer Connelly or even Rosemarie DeWitt if they are looking for someone older. Or they could go with someone completely new. I hope to see a little cameo for Jennifer Hale...she is absolutely brilliant

Me and my friend were debating what it would be about, cause we didn't read the 250 page discussion. Was hoping perhaps the Anderson and Saren era, that wouldn't involve Shepard. Or maybe Torfan, seeing what actually happened and what Shepard had to sacrifice, because the game does often talk about this moment. It's what made Shepard himself.

At the end of the credits, we see a spaceship yard, with sparks and the fuselage of the Normandy SR1.
Pls.

Gonna be awesome, but will there be a trilogy?
First Mass Effect movie+Massive fan support at movie launch=profit for studio and EA+sequels=more revenue for studio and EA (providing it's not like Transformers and just get worse).

hmm I am not so sure that having manshep will be a good idea for most fans...

That is not something that will be fixed by changing the gender of Shep.
It is irrelevant if it is femshep or manshep - because you will always have people who wont agree, which is a problem with customisable main characters (Their adaptation to film will always be controversial).
I dont care either way, as long as the main character suits (Male or Female).
But a lot of people have whinged that a manshep has been decided - but the whinging would be the same even if it was a femshep, just from different people (And in some circumstances some of the same people would whinge either way).

The problem is, men get too many protagonist roles which it's tiring, boring, unfair and overdone.
It would be great, for ONCE, to have a female badass protagonist. Seriously.

I don't mean any disrespect or don't say this with any sexism at all but would a male Shepard not make more sense as Mass Effect always seemed to be portayed to the outside world as somehting which has male Shepard as the leader and fem Shepard is only something those inside the game would think of. To capture a wider audience male Shepard seems the best choice, but these are only my opinions

The last one I can think of is Salt, which I believe was written with the intention of Tom Cruise staring as Salt.
I'd like to see Hollywood try it again, and I'd definitely be interested in seeing a Femshep Mass Effect film, but I doubt they'd make that with 82% of ME players playing Sheploo.
