My suggestion for Commander Shepard in the movie: Mark Vanderloo because he looks a hell of a lot like him.![]()

I am so sick of Sam Worthington right now but even though he isnt a very good actor I can see him filling the role of Shepard.

Anyways i think that with the first contact war, they would be able to not only prevent using shepard, and thus ruining the game experience for many, they can also atract a wider audience than with any other part of the story, mainly because most people like to see humanity win
my money is on:
A: First Contact War
B: Saren - Anderson Story
C: Shepard (which i damn well hope they dont!!!!)

Ah yes, "places" and "times" beyond the first Mass Effect game - for which the movie rights were optioned. We have dismissed these claims.Whailor wrote...
Shepard should be a male in the movie, if it will involve Shepard at all. Although the movie could also be about other "places" or "times" in ME universe and not involve Shepard at all, though I doubt it.Wha...?Nazara wrote...
I think a really good Idea would be at the start to do:
"50000 Years Ago"...
*show the Reapers defeat the Protheans*
Then come into the present day, just before the Prothean ruins on Mars.
All this would have to be explained, don't forget not just Mass Effect fans will be watching. New people and families who have never even heard of Mass Effect will watch. sort of like the New Star Trek, people who had not seen the old went to watch it.
When WE played the game we didn't know that the Reapers existed for real or that they defeated the Protheans for AGES. Until we met Sovereign it wasn't 100% certain that it was a ploy or just insanity by Saren. Revealing that before the story starts will ruin it. It's completely unnecessary and pointless and wrong.I wouldn't go for 100% identical: there's room for improvement especially since they can do so much more when they don't have to render it in realtime. That said, obvious changes to the style would be a Bad Thing, as would changes to the plot that actually change the story to not fit the possibilities of the game (naturally there's a lot of leeway there since there are so many things you can skip or do in a different order or which a different outcome. So long as they stick with (or close to) the possible game choices that's okay. And if they emphasise or cut some bits to make the story flow well, that's okay within reason - if they mess that up then we'll be banging our heads against the wall to try to forget the stupidity of it.dEsSiCaTa_UK wrote...
Ranting aside as long as the visuals are the spitting image from the game, the environments, characters, and every desgin are identicle, plus Seth green plays joker and Yvonne Strahovski as Miranda it will be a modern day star wars only infinitely greater. Plus i hope to the Reapers the story is kept 100% intact, exactly the same as the game.
I agree totally about Joker (and Miranda when they do the sequel, but that's not really relevant yet)THIS times over 9000dan155 wrote...
Please just don’t make the movie for dumbasses. Mass Effect shouldn’t be just another action popcorn flick, this is sacred. Despite being an action-orientated game, you always got the feeling that something deeper was going on.They've barely sold the movie rights and they've already blown it? Pessimist much?Bill569 wrote...
This is a nice try, but I am afraid that this will be another stupid movie full of special effects and no plot development whatsoever. They will ruin the characters and the mass effect world.
I'm sure that if it looks like that might happen they'll can it first. And even if it did it wouldn't 'ruin the world' because the games would still exist just as they do today.
Mass Effect 3 has more chance of 'ruining the Mass Effect world' than a movie does.

Sounds great, I'll wait to see the result
though. And I hope the music will be made by Jack Wall as for the two
games.

Please Bioware: my main request is that Jack Wall and his associate's wonderful score carries over into the film.

He's more of a 'shapeless chunk of man', than an 'actor'.
I wouldn't want Shepard to be in it. I'd prefer an original story.
