I agree, we have had enough of him and he is unique for every player. First ship arriving to mars, discovering ruins, relay recover from ice ... first contact war... that would be GREAT story!
A movie about the first contact war would be amazing. They actually have so much material to work with that it's very possible that they could produce a fantastic movie trilogy that's a prequel to the game.
But you can't name me one game that turned into a movie that was actually good. Jus sayin.

And Seth Green MUST be Joker!! Having a few of the voice actors play the characters would be brilliant.
The games are already almost like playing in a movie yourself, but movies should be a fun addition. I don't think that fans should be upset about removing the element of choice/canonizing one path, for a few reasons.
1) Even the game trailers already do this, with a male/Paragon Shepherd etc.
2) We need to allow each medium to be what it is... the games are games with the strengths and weaknesses attached, and the same will be true of the movie(s).

I wonder who the romantic interest will be, with all the options there are!
Seeing as its going to be based on the first game, and its most likely going to be a Male lead. Its fairly easy to say Ashley or Liara.

Chris Evans... come on hah by far the worst suggestion. Not only is he doing Captain America, terrible casting, but the guy is too over played. They need a new face to big time acting and im sure Fox would be dead on. For his looks, Hollywood is a crazy place hah You can look 20 years younger in just a couple hours with makeup n whatever else is on set.
Worst suggestion? Get a frakking grip. He can act, and that is all that matters.
How the hell is Matthew Fox a new face? Do you realise how long Lost has been going?
And age shows no matter how much makeup you shove on a person, in their demeanor, body language, just everything.

I second this, Id like to see either the first contact war or maybe something from Garrus's team after Shepard's "Death" (But the citadel council can't b in it because of the choise to kill them or not)Neo Hex Omega wrote...
I honestly hope that the movie plot has nothing to do with the Shepard trilogy... that would kill the point of having a choice-based storyline, and attempting to recast the existing characters with look and sound alikes would inevitably be disappointing.
That said, the Mass Effect galaxy is a place with a great many stories to tell, so here's hoping that the writers and producers will craft something fresh.

Here's why you don't put Shep in the movie from a monetary standpoint:
A stupid and whiny subset of fans doesn't want it.
Newcomers won't care.
Fixed it for oyu.

If you read correctly i said "Big Time Acting", a main role in a full budget movie. Fox would be excellent for this part and i dont see exactly how he looks so old? Do some work on him and he would fit perfectly fine for the role as sheppard.
Personally i wanna see this movie be over the top amazing, the next "the dark knight". With the high possibilty of sheppard being a main part in the movie, i wanna see whoever is casted to be exactly like the main default. Either way the movie goes, with the people backing it up. S**ts gunna be intense hah

Back to the subject of Liara and about your previous comments that I missed.
The only young actress that I can think of is Dakota Fanning, but shes still too young despite so many years acting. Bonnie Wright, I just dont think she can act :/ She has the innocence and naivity we need for Liara but I'm afraid that I think that is her and not her acting.

I can't think of anyone right now who would play liara for a young star, but what about Tali? Emma Watson would be a good choice for a character like this. She has the intelliegence, charisma, and motion, since she's played Hermione.

Like Axeface says, it's not about his looks, but things like body language. You can't just throw makeup on that. It will show.
If you're so hung up on having someone who looks like Shep, I'm sure there are plenty of other actors who not only look the part, but are also the proper age.

Do not misquote me. I never said nor would ever say such a thing. Tali should be voiced by Liz Sroka and no one else. End of story.

they mostlikely will do a simalr story line to the game but one that would fit along the line of the main story plot much like how some of these other games did for there movies

I've been rooting through some younger stars that are up and coming that I think could work, outside of the standard crappy selection of action stars that seem to be getting constant mentions on the boards. Curious what anyone would think of Ryan Gosling as Shepard.
