Too many here regard ME as their personal toy and not a product made by Bioware to make a profit.  You do realize Bioware needs to make money and expanding their customer base to include movies will only help their business which in return will help them make even more games and such.  A ME movie may not live up to everyones expectations but it will be good for Bioware and it will be good for us gamers who enjoy Bioware games.

I, like many others, believe it would be best to cover some other element of the Mass Effect universe.  Perhaps Commander Shepard could make a cameo, or even just be mentioned in the story, but I don't think the movie should feature the Commander entirely.  It would be awesome to see the First Contact War covered, or the discovery of the Prothean ruins on Mars and humanity's first cautious steps into deeper space.

Really, no matter what the movie covers, I am definitely going to go see it.  Look what you brilliant bastards have done!

Matthew Fox as Commander Shepard. With the end of Lost fresh in everyones minds, now is the time for Fox to have more leading rolls.  While he doesn't have the voice, I believe he has the look and the range to pull off a very believable Shepard. I don't think they will need to cast a huge star, Fox will be able to bring in fans and have a lower cost then bigger names and let the budget focus on the story and the effects.

This is who I would cast as well. He looks like default Shepard, he can act well enough for a blockbuster, and Lost has a huge worldwide following that this film would benefit from. I've always thought he would be perfect for the role.

While I like the idea of a movie playing in the big and fantastic mass effect world, I would totally hate to the see the game and it's characters being a movie, where they try to find a fitting actor for the computer modell etc.

Also the game had so many choice options small and large, they would need to make a real canon story.

I think best would be to let the movie play in the universe, even having something to do with the game story, but not picturing the game characters and instead someone and something else, or, being animated/CG, so you don't have the problem of finding fitting actors.

Anyway, looking forward and really hope it will not destroy the game due to a canon story, bad actor choice (as in looking and acting like the game characters) or what else could happen, destroying what everyone made out of the game story.

Meh, when Transformers was first announced, people bashed that like all hell. But when the movie came out almost everyone changed there tunes and enjoyed it.



So we should all just take a wait and see approach. Seriously some of these posts are starting to scare me

Hope the plot isn't too exact to the game plot, would love to see it with the same plot but with changes in it, like Shepard's backgroud and stuff.



But it has to be released After Mass Effect 3.

I hope music will be by Jack Wall. He did such a great job with ME2 that i just can't believe it. It's mind- blowing good! Love it.

agreed 100%, the music was so dynamic to every cutscene, amazing stuff for a video game.

I think it would be interesting if they covered the Rachni wars, and then the Krogan Rebellions in a movie trilogy. Think about it, tons of action, cool aliens, a closer look at that part of ME history, and who wouldn't love to finally be able to see a Krogan horde of 1000+ charging at Rachni or Turians, and the epic combat that would ensue!
