I've got a much better role for Udina than James Woods. Sidney Poitier. He'd be perfect for a wise-cracking, political ****** as Udina.

Other than Liara, Wrex (depends if you killed him on Virmire), and Kaidan/Ashley (one of them dies in Virmire or, in the PC, both can live if you don't go to Virmire and go to Ilos instead - it's a cheat).kyle924 wrote...
Speaking of ME 3, anyone have ideas on what kinds of new/old species/characters SHOULD be in ME 3?

With regards to the film, I'd be all for it. It doesn't bother me that I play as a Femshep and that the protagonist will most likely be male. As far as I'm concerned, any type of film, whether it's good or bad, won't influence how I feel about the games or the franchise. So Shepard won't be exactly as I envisioned him/her. So the choices might be different. So certain aspects might be changed. it's not the end of the world. I mean, most people go through multiple playthroughs with different characters, making different decisions, so what's the problem with seeing it pan out on the big screen? I'd be excited to see what cinema could bring to Mass Effect, and would find a live-action version of ME1 a great prospect. The story is already in place - parts of it obviously needing condensed and most sidequests cut - but I still think it has the potential to work really well.
ME2, on the other hand, would be trickier if they decided to do the trilogy. Where ME1 is more story-orientated, a sequence of recruiting and loyalty missions would not make for the best film. But that's getting too far ahead, anyway.
Looking forward to seeing this develop, anyway.

Really another Sam Worthington suggestion?? I really thought Mass Effect fans would have had higher standards.
You got any better suggestions than Sam Worthington or Matthew Fox?
Actually yes, but I prefer to actually wait to see the style they wish to have Shepard portrayed rather than just throwing out random actor names. Because online in things like this it tends to devolve into litle more than a popularity contest of peoples favorite actors or spewing of just the current *it* person of the year.

My best bet to who should play Commander Sheppard would be Matthew Fox starring as "Jack Sheppard" from "LOST" seeing that he is a really good actor and he looks very much like the "Default" Sheppard in the game. Even though he is 43 years old I think, he does not even look like hes 40. I think he looks like he's in his middle 30's. Peace out people!
...... of course I already know that people will be quoting my reply "This is a bad idea and you sir are an idiot" LOL silly people stop arguing and just state what your opinoin is, you don't have to knock anyone else off this post just because of what your opinion is. Just simply say what you think should happen for the Mass Effect Movie!

As people have often remarked upon Shepherd's English accent I would hope that we would have an English actor since I'm sure we can all agree that American's cannot properly portray an Englishman, and before anybody replies to this statment with guns drawn, neither can an English actor properly portray an American (unless of course he is from an unhealthily wealthy family that could afford to send his/her son/daughter to an English public schhool (Lara Croft - need I say anymore, but yes, nevertheless, I have the films)). OK, with those apologise out of the way I would propose Jason Statham, but then that is just how I see the character when I play and of course Shepherd could also be of the female persuasion, and no that is not a joke! But Jason Statham hurrah!
Forgive me if I'm missing something but Mark Meer is Canadian is he not?

Actually, people are complaining a lot about the movie contradicting the game's philosophy and destroying our own vision of Shepard, but I think this is a wonderful opportunity to develop Shepard in a way we cannot in the game, which might be very interesting if done properly.

Shepard's(c'mon people, we had Shepperds, Shepherds, Shephards or even Sheppereds but Commander Shepard will remain as Shepard:lol:) voice actor is canadian and clearly doesn't speak with an english accent, so no Jason Statham I guess.

Saren has to be as important as Shep.
Make a highly detailed, proper sci-fi, story
telling, like Watchmen, mix of Star Trek(SCI) and Star Wars(FI),in a
mature way like Blade Runner.
You guys obviously just post without reading through the thread.

This! Don't make a movie with Shepard as the role, please. Shepard is the hero in your already very epic games, no need to mess them up.

NO. In other words I prefer to not turn myself into a hypocrite by posting a stupid dream cast list. If you actually go back into the thread (its a large number of pages now) I actually posted one male actor and agreed with another suggestion. I've also jokingly talked about a possible lead for Liara and Ashley in either this thread or another one. There are like 8 or so of these threads I've currently subscribed to on the forums here.
