90 pages of this, and yet not a single "don't make it about Shepard" complainer has managed to explain WHY a move would ruin his Shepard in any sensible way...or at all for that matter.
Natually, this is because they can't explain it in a sensible way, as their objections are baseless.
Either way - can't wait to hear more about the movie.
This is a red herring. The Mass Effect story is more than Shepherd, it is an entire galaxy. I believe I posted
an answer to the Shepherd question on page 60 or so. It is not about ruining the Shepherd character for the
players, it is about redundancy and stagnation in storytelling! The Mass Effect games ARE telling the Shepherd
story and a movie about the same topic, when so much more exists to be seen in the ME universe, would not expand the world of ME and instead make it stagnate. If a movie is made about the game, it would simply be an excuse for sugary 3D special effects which would blote the franchise and cause irreparable damage to ME in the
long run. However, the reason behind all the "don't make it about Shepherd" requests is the desire, by players,
to see the backstory fleshed out on the silver screen in all its cinematic beauty to give EVEN MORE MEANING to the existing game story and therefore all the myriad Shepherd permutations. If ME is to have a vibrant future, then a solid, complex, deep and wide backstory must be established for the success of future stories.
