Did you guys have to announce it and make it all official and corporate? :pinched: A huge part of its appeal for me was the proletariat charm. There's nothing like fan love.

I'm confused as to whether this is official or not though- Most articles on Joystiq or Destructoid or other blogs that reference this machinima say its official BioWare canon? Is that true?

Yes, I say it again...these Machinima people got struck gold there.

The moment of decision when the Warden realizes that saving one dying man may cost the lives of so many others ahead is remarkably poignant

...remarkably poignant

We'll see how this unfolds, if the same quality can be maintained...

That can't be the Kristoff we know, right?
And it was a plothole when they walked over the fire like that and when Kristoff did not sensed the Disciple. Posted Image

Well I think that depends on whether the woman in the beginning (the gladiator-esque family flashback) is his wife since in awakening we meet Aura at the keep. According to her letter in-game she told him that she was on her way to vigil's keep from Jader(Nearest major Orlesian city to Ferelden )

Overall though I really like it and can't wait for ep 2 Posted Image

so only Krostoff is the grey warden?
Tamlen (He is tamlen, isn't he?), the other 2 men(and the 2 dogs) are just soldiers and follow their leader, right?

So... do some Orlesians have English accents as most Fereldens do?

I'm surprised people are taking this as official. Machinima vids are usually for fun and amusement. One evidence, in Awakenings, in the Tavern, the bar maid when asked about Kristoff, said he was a "friendly sort", constantly writing on his note book etc. The Kristoff in the mechinima vid doesn't seem friendly at all, doesn't seem much of a brainy fella for sure, he has more of a John Rambo attitude. Notice that he kicked the Anders mage for defying him, which is exactly how you inspire loyalty in DAO! Kicked him!  I think the focus here is the fighting scenes and some gung-ho drama to rile viewer emotions. This is fan made stuff, for the fun of it.
