Does Ashley have faults? Absolutely. She's real that way.

hey id be the first too agree with you zeuss.but her storng attitude tend too rub ppl the wrong way and as a result ashleys charecter suffers from idotic haters who dont care too analyse her as we do,as we all knowImage IPB

If they hate, let em hate. We can laugh at them while they fangirl over Jack (no offense to pyro). *moves that thought to off-topic thread*

again i agree its just that ashley couldve been a fan fav like tali and garrus (sigh )but i guess it was not meant too be.anyway back on topic so atleast we all agree that ashley may not be anti-soacil,but she dose however lack soacil skills outside of her work enviroment.

I think you can say at least that she is not very tolerant of people exploiting her family history to further their political agendas. And who wouldn't be?

While Ash is my absolute favorite character ever. It is true, I feel that way. We all know not everyone thinks this way. Some hate, some don't care, some have other characters they like as much or more than Ash but still support this thread. Cant do much for the haters or those that don't care. We can be mindful / careful of what or how we say things about other characters for our friends and supporters. Not calling anyone out. Just a thought for this thread in general. Remember, Ash it worth it.

Sorry If you thought I was calling you out. Wasn't. Sorry.

Just the way I have felt about things for a long time. I think character comparisons are fine good sometimes. Things are very , very easy to misread or misunderstand on the internet in general. I know I have never liked it when I lurk in other threads and see Ash getting bashed or what I see as bashing. So I might just be hyper sensitive about things. Sorry if I wasn't on topic enough. Just thought I should say it. Ash is worth it.

Ashley is female thus she survives.

Considering they even use the game's story.

I really hope they don't. They should really make a movie about the first contact war. But then again it might end up like the phantom menace.

If anything, they will use Liara as the LI in the movie if it's based on the first game because as Avatar proved, people love hot blue aliens.

That isnt the only reason people might like her.

Regardless though, I hope that its not going to be based on Commander Shepard.

While I think talking about possibility of Ash being in a movie is Ash related, forgive me if it makes me a bit nervous. That started us down a bad road the other day. I will say I hope she isn't in it. I hope it is in the Mass effect universe but not the game story. We will have to wait for more details.

Hi, folks.  Thanks for joining us this morning for another rousing installment of ... rampant character speculation!  Today's programming is brought to you by the denizens of the Ashley Williams Off-Topic Fan Thread.  If this thread ain't a-rockin', please come a-knockin' (there).

The topic currently is: Do you think that Ashley Williams is anti-social

And.... discuss.

Quoting m'self for the benefit of the new guys.  We've all gone through opinions - have any thoughts?

forgive me if this a little unrelated but what are ash's responsibilities as gunnery chief? or operations chief?

(and no i don't think she is anti-social she just gets moved around alot. to quote her "You go wherever command tells you to right?")

Don't feel compelled to respond - it's over an hour old anyway. Just figured if people wanted something to talk about, a topic might be helpful. This thread's a new car; I think we're all a little nervous about crashing it.

Greetings from the KAST! I see y'all have a new home!

And why on earth (or elsewhere) would anyone think Ashley's anti-social? Smart-asses, by definition, can't be anti-social.

Thanks for the visit!  Yeah, guess this will keep us out of invading your thread for the time being.    Now you guys don't have to worry about our grassroots campaign to make it the 'Virmire Survivors Thread - Now with 60% More Shirtlessness!' Image IPB

Nah, I don't think Ash is anti-social. I think she might be fearful that more people know about her grandfather's infamy than actually do know. In which case she'd be afraid that people would either write her off or judge her right away. She assumed Shepard knew and was shocked to find out he didn't. She doesn't have any problem doing 'elevator talk'. In fact, since her opinion on aliens changes throughout the course of the game, I'd even go so far as to say that she benefits from the social interaction she has had with Garrus and Tali. Wrex, eh- well, we know what happens on Virmire if you don't do it right, but I don't think it's personal.

i dont belive it was anything personal what happens between ash and wrex,if you fail too talk him down he was going too atempt too harm shepard, which is her commanding officer....well actually if your her LI then it could translate into something personal i mean shes not gonna let wrex kill her possible BF.but other than that i think she gets along with the ME1 sqaud pretty well.now the ME2 sqaud is a totaly diff story.

Yeah I think the same.  It was nothing personal. It was just that Shepard was in danger.
And after all Shepard is much more important than (at the time) random badass Krogan Wrex.

That´s actually one of the things about her character that I like. She takes action when it is necessary in her opinion and doesn´t wait around until someone tells her what to do. I can´t imagine one of the other ME1 squadmates to kill Wrex in that situation without being given the order by Shep.
We as the players know the situation can be defused by carefully choosing certain dialogue options, but I can totally understand her for making a decision she feels is right.

also, tali thread got locked:whistle:
