Indeed, thank you for yet another bump.:D

Anyway to start a topic:

Let's just say that Ashley isn't recruitable in Mass Effect 3 but is rather given a really important NPC role similar to Captain Anderson in Mass Effect 1. If that was to be the case, what would you like her role to be?

Personally I imagine she could be Shepard's contact on the Citadel or a high ranking military officer that is involved in overseeing the final Mission, it would give her the screen time she deserves as well as the potential to have the relationship with Shepard mend as they get to know each other through the course of the mission once again.

So yeah, that'd be my pick? What's yours?

I like the Idea of Ash being Shepard's contact but I think she needs lots of dialog,  Yeah cause they have things to work out... and he has to visit her .. often!!!

I like the idea of having her be a mission-giver, V-rex. I think by default she'd have to be an Alliance contact in some sense if she isn't recruitable - what other reason would Shepard have for ever seeing her if she isn't on the squad or important to missions? Other than that... Maybe having her on-board in a Kelly-like capacity, as in communicating and liasing with the Alliance about Shepard's progress, but not actually being able to go on missions. I'd imagine it would give the opportunity for her to get frustrated and have some interesting dialogue.

I completely agree with Night in any case - she needs to have lots of dialogue to resolve all the issues, and she better be able to be visited!

It would be kinda cool to see her on the ship just as NPC support rather than a squadmember but I would hope that her conversations with Shepard would be as deeply woven into the plot as they were in Mass Effect 1. In any case I would hope that she hasn't lost that spark that fans have grown to love her for.

i'd rather have her as a squad member....i miss the firepower....but if she isn't...a contact with the Alliance would be nice...even though..i kinda want my Sheps to be solo...and yea..there should be dialogue...for personal and professional business...then again..i want more dialogue for every important char

It would be a huge disappointment if she was anything else but a full squad member.

That is all.

I think Mass Effect 3 is an excellent opportunity to have more talkable, relevant crew members who aren't necessarily squad members (I am thinking squarely of Shiala in this case). For instance, I thought Mordin was spectacularly unnecessary as a squad member, but he was important to have along as ship scientist. So more characters who have importance other than as squad members would be interesting.

But no, I wouldn't want to see Ashley reduced to anything less than full status, because she is worth it for me to demand that, however unrealistic such an expectation might prove to be. I will admit, Shepard getting missions from Ash directly from Alliance high command or wherever is a rather interesting idea, but I wouldn't expect such a thing simply because of all the contingencies that would have to be built into the game in order to make that work.

I wholeheartedly agree that Ashley should be given complete status, but I just posed that question as what would be the next best thing if she couldn't be. I see what you mean though about Shepard taking orders from Ashley being a little difficult in terms of fitting into story so maybe it would be better to have her simply be a significant ally who gets more deeply involved with Shepard's final mission until finally her loyalty to him returns and if they were star crossed lovers, they get back together again.
That would actually work quite well I reckon, though still I agree. Anything less than the best for our Operations Chief would be a little upsetting.

I would like full squad member best, as she is a powerful soldier, and my Infiltrator needs that to compliment his skills who isn't as crazy as Grunt. Besides, it's the way I think my Shep and Ash role, being warriors together.

If we can't get that, then I'd like her to be a very powerful NPC, in that we can talk to her a lot, sort the relationship out, get missions from her and so on. Almost like Joker, but more of course. Perhaps she will curse the fact she can't enter combat, until the last mission of ME3, where you can get her to go anyway, sort of like a persuasion thing.

I would highly doubt that Bioware will not have your Virmire choice come back to be a full squad mate in ME3. That is just wishful thinking though.

Truth. I didn't save/romance her for nothing. But regardless, she'd make a good contact for sure.

Well, at least any role she's given that last more than 5 minutes out of a 20-30+ hour game will be a marked improvement over ME2.  Dialogue options that also at least give the appearance of being interactive (i.e. the conversation will change based on what you chose - not automatically deliver the same damn ending) would also be appreciated this time.

Mmm... Bitter O's.  The breakfast of champions.

This. Although I'm not worried about it. They woudln't just sidetrack the characters for the rest of the trilogy for no reason imo. Well, OK they sidetracked Wrex but I guess that was because he could be dead. If they wanted to do that to the ME1 LIs, then the Horizon/Illium stuff would have been pointless.

Power List:

Concussive Shot
Incendiary Ammo
Passive
Immunity (Or maybe a version of Overkill)

Concussive Shot...um how about no it b elike the 5th person to have that.

Incendiary Ammo that be the third.

Passive Immunity, this could work, depends on how Bioware makes it.

How about a possible skill for Ashley to use Heavy Weapons. omg dual Chain Guns that be OP.

I have dediced to illustrate what I want to see in ME3, so that BioWare can't claim to be confused. Here you go, dev team:

I´ve seen them and it is obvious that your painting skills have improved dramatically, but shouldn´t her hair be black? We don´t want the devs to confuse her with Kelly or someone else, do we?

Think it is safe to say we can use this one from the Offical Topic List now.

If Ash was giving a model make over what would you like to see change
(ie hair color, skin tone, scars...)

I have to think about mine for a while.

@Errol - Hmm.... You raise an excellent point. I've made her hair darker in them all.  This one also has glitter Shepley text now, and I gave them both aviators.  Why?  Because I could.  I've grown as an ar-tist thanks to your feedback.  Thank you. Posted Image

@VV - For whatever reason, I think her face looks thinnier and pointy in ME2 than in ME1.  I like her better in ME1, a little softer, cheeks a little fuller.

Okay Guys KAST has just reached 1900 and for that Ashley needs a BUMP!!!!

Cause you know, we couldn't have done it without our other VS ...

@ Silver, maybe her face is thinner because she was not eating enough... yeah guilt, depression .. it does that to you.

Just a though..she can always eat better once they have their reunion!!!

Tally Ho!!!
