Hey, do you guys think Ash is biracial?
At that point I'm pretty sure just about everyone is.

WINNER!!! That look says it all. Hey, do you guys think Ash is biracial?
In ME1, it appears that they tried to blend racial features in a lot of the characters to make Earth seem like one big melting pot, in a way - which is especially apparent, IMO, in Ash, Kaidan, Anderson, and Udina. I'm not sure why they seemed to pull away from this in ME2, but I rather liked it, personally.
Most people seem to think Ash has some Latin blood, which I certainly don't disagree with.

If she indeed had no character, then no one would hate her. Yet, for some reason, people do hate her; therefore, she has character. And I do say she's got a great character.Raanz wrote...

She has a very strong character. So you really either love her or hate her.On a side note, I've found just about everyone that falls in the "hate category" doesn't have a full understanding of her character in the first place.

Same goes for people who call characters (mostly Kaidan, I think) "whiny". Sounds more like an excuse because the character annoys them for some reason, but they don't know why.

I never thought of Kaidan as whiny, but I can see how someone who is less willing to examine his character might classify him as such. If you don't even think about something, it is the easiest thing in the world to come up with conclusions about that thing that are as far from truth as could possibly be, but that you are convinced must be true. Not a whole lot of people are willing to do much thinking when it comes to Ashley.

The people who say Ash is racist are probably racist themselves...just trying to hide their shame
by criticizing a video game character the don't even wanna take the time to get to know.<_<

Ashley is a Xenophobe rather than Racist yet most people cant even spell the first word so they default to the second. Sad she reverts in ME2 back to her old self.

I'm not sure that either truly applies. She doesn't seem to hate or fear aliens I think it's a sense of she can't truly blame the people responsible for her family disgrace, the Alliance.

Yeah, I'm with Jhon on this one. I think she's more skeptical than anything else towards aliens, and I think a large part of that can be ascribed to the bias the Alliance carriers against her grandfather. I'm farily sure her opinions on aliens would differ if not for Shanxi.
