True enough. However, I would pay good money to see her and Miranda go at it. I can just hear Jack cheering on Ash now.

Honestly, I feel as though Ashley would trash Miranda in a straight up fight. Plus, I just don't see it happening. I find an Ashley/Jack fight much more likely to occur and much more entertaining. I could definitely picture some tempers flaring in that one. Although I'd probably have to step in because, I tend to be realistic, I'm fairly certain Jack would just be too powerful biotically for Ashley to handle one on one.

I see what you're saying but, why would Ash and Jack have static with each other. Ash is Alliance, she hates Cerberus. Miranda is a Cerberus b!tch (so says Jack).  Wouldn't it make sense for those two to knock heads. If you took Miranda with you to Horizon, remember she shot her mouth off while Ash was talking to Shepherd. That incident could lay the foundation for a violent confrontation between Ash and Miranda.

....and we both know that if Ash does join the Normandy, Miranda is going to do her 'alpha female' thing just like she tried to do with Jack.

Ashley is self-righteous (not a good nor bad thing, so don't kill me) and I would say if anything, Jack would get pissed at that. However, I also see Ash and Miranda having not liking each other to some degree since, granted, Ash is Alliance and Miranda is Cerberus, if SHepard is renegade. Then again, if your Shepard is renegade then I don't see you caring much for Ash anyways...

"You" as in Renegade players in general, not anybody in specific. Just sayin'.

Both Ashley and Miranda are professional enough to keep things civil despite any animosity there may be between them. Plus, they're both infatuated with Shepard and know he won't take kindly to this sort of thing so they won't start anything. Any sort of outburst from Jack would not be surprising. On the Cerberus note, Ashley will not be allowed on board if she cannot put aside her hate for Cerberus enough to work civilly with the other crew members. Hopefully I'll be able to convince her to keep an open mind about Cerberus. In fact, she'd be a Reaper smoothie right now if it weren't for Cerberus. The Reapers should be happy Ashley didn't get liquified because I would have been pissed, and when my Shepard gets pissed, the object of my anger dies.

I play completely full renegade on all my playthroughs (except 1 just to see the paragon ending) and Ashley is my girl. We just need to talk more. She'll come around.

Do you think that renegade Shepherd will try to get Ash to join Cerberus?

Not as long as she is still with the Alliance. She has her own responsibilities and I would not want her to desert. I would like to get her to come server under me Alliance permission.

We can't rule out that the Alliance or Council would send Ash to the Normandy just to keep an eye on Shepherd. The last thing that the Council wants is another Saren on their hands.

The way I see it, Ash has too much of a personal connection to SHepard, even if she wasn't the player's romance choice. If the Alliance really wanted to keep an eye on Cerberus and Shepard, they would send someone who has a purely professional view of him.

I'll go ahead and ask the question. What happens after Shepherd defeats the reapers? Does he go back to the Alliance? Does he stay with Cerberus and become the head? Or, will he become some sort of liason between the two? If MY Shepherd had the opportunity, he would gladly replace T.I.M.

Meaning no offence but that's kind of an Off Topic thing to say (remember, there's a thread for that), unless you are asking it in terms of how Ash would respond.

Personally I reckon, in my case anyway, he'd retire so he and Ash can rebuild their future. I think it's only fair given all that's happened between them.

Speaking of... new topic:

After Mass Effect 3 has concluded and Shepard and Ashley (hopefully) survive the events and are given a chance to have a proper relationship again, what kind of a relationship do you think they'd have? A happy family on some far off colony or a life on the Citadel or even a life that is still heavily militarised as both continue to fight for the Alliance at least until they both retire.

Personally, I reckon after everything that had happened they'd probably happily retire if it meant they could mend the wound in their relationship and try living a normal life after everything that's happened but I can also see them having their own ship and just going out on space adventures as that seems to be very much in their blood, the desire to have adventures and to always have 'the next mission' to do.

Still, that's my opinion. What do the other Ash fans think?

I think that after all this madness has passed, Ash and Shepherd will go off someone together and spend some real quality time together. I also think that they will both remain in the military because they both know what kind of evil is running loose in the galaxy. On a different note, can you guys imagine the pressure that will be on their children?

I don't see Ash and Shepard doing a whole Mr./Mrs. SMith thing, or settling on the citadel/Illium/Omega, that's for sure. However, settling down with a family is viable, as Ash is a warm character with a sense of family. I also reckon it would be likely that they continue in the military, maybe as commanding officers.

I agree. I also feel that there will be another "Commander Shepherd."

Hmm, retirement, perhaps, maybe, yes and no. I think probably an extended leave of absence, but not retirement. I don't think either of them would be content with the 'normal' life for any long period of time. Ash especially would likely still feel she had unfinished business with the Alliance..

I'm sure if Shepard defeats the Reapers and stays with Ash that they'll both be involved in human/galactic military/politics in some form. Ash will probably receive a battlefield commission and get fast-tracked to become a high ranking officer in the Systems Alliance. Shepard probably has a more diverse set of options (becoming an admiral, remaining/taking over Cerberus, working as a Spectre again, etc.).

My Shepherd's background was Spacer/War Hero. I was just thinking how interesting it would be if Ash became the Executive Officer on the ship captained by Hanna Shepherd. That would be very interesting indeed.Image IPB

Uh oh. Talk about worlds colliding. I don't even think my paragon Spacer/War Hero soldier would much care for that. Maybe with my renegade Earthborn/Ruthless Vanguard she can join my unit from Torfan. Oh wait...

So is it possible to get with Ash while being renegade? I read a post somewhere that she didn't  go for the renegade Shep.

I believe people use the terms renegade and paragon too strictly. Yes, I play pretty much full renegade but I'm still nice to most of my squadmates. If you choose many of the "renegade" conversations with her she won't like you, the upper portion of the conversation wheel is generally where you want to be save a few instances. Romance with Ashley has nothing to do with Renegade/Paragon bars. It simply depends on how you interact with her.

I asked because I rarely ever play renegade, call it not wanting karma to bite me in the ****. I do sometimes perform renegade actions, only when neccessary though.

As a spacer war hero shep Id think theyd both spend a little more time with the alliance, then settle down a bit and have a family.

The spacer/war hero shepard goes so well with ashley.

I would agree. Although Shepard would still need to rejoin the Systems Alliance. He has not been Alliance since he was made a Spectre.

Captain Anderson says something along the lines of Shepard no longer answering to them as he set of the first time as captain of the Normandy.

Here's a question: Is Ashley the only character to address Shepard as "Captain" in ME1? I know it's in the context of a Walt Whitman quote but it still counts I think. I think Ashley is the only one other than the Quarians in ME2.
