I would agree. Although Shepard would still need to rejoin the Systems Alliance. He has not been Alliance since he was made a Spectre.

Captain Anderson says something along the lines of Shepard no longer answering to them as he set of the first time as captain of the Normandy.

Here's a question: Is Ashley the only character to address Shepard as "Captain" in ME1? I know it's in the context of a Walt Whitman quote but it still counts I think. I think Ashley is the only one other than the Quarians in ME2.

She's the only one that I know of, other than, as you said, the Quarians.
Her line on Horizon still gives me chills. "Commander Shepard, first human Spectre, savior of the Citadel, Captain of the Normandy..."

My main Shep is a Colonist War Hero.  I like to think that family's very important to him, he doesn't have any left, and I honestly see Shep and Ash settling down near her family on Amaterasu.  Above all else, he'd want her to be happy.

My Shep wants to settle down with her after this whole Reaper debacle is over; however, he wouldn't be too crazy about living near the in-laws I think. In fact, I don't think they'd be too crazy about him either. I feel like there would be some tension when Sarah's kids keep asking Shepard to retell the story of the whole Torfan slaughter thing.

Sometimes my mind goes strange and nefarious places...
So, what I envision the future of Shepley to be like -

They defeat the Repears and become Saviors of the Galaxy™, and then keep being Saviors of the Galaxy™ for a little while until they decide to settle down.  Ash's family is important to her, Shepard is awkward with small children, so he decides that having built-in support would be lovely.  But, it's not just Ash and Shep.  Nooo... that team is a little too close-knit to split up that easy.  Garrus comes too, as do Grunt, Legion, Joker, Chakwas, Kelly, Jacob, Miranda, Thane (while he's still alive), and Tali - and Samara, Kasumi, and Zaeed all come visit from time-to-time.    Jacob ends up marrying Abby Williams and Joker marries Lynn, who routinely kicks the crap out of his crippled self.  Ash gets annoyed with being mommy to the whole gang, but she likes the challenge of sparring with Grunt, so she tolerates them.  And Mother Williams is just happy to have her whole brood nearby. Oh, and Shiala, Shiara, Matriarch Bartender, Aria, Gianna Parasini, the Rachni Queen (dat thorax), the Turian Councilor, and Anderson also come visit.  Anderson wanted to move in too, but Ash said that he couldn't because he refused to tell Shepard how to contact her, and she still partly blames him for how things went on Horizon.

Till the one day when our hero met these NPCs and squaddies,
And they knew that it was much more than a hunch,
That this rag-tag team would somehow form a family....
That's the way they all became the Shepard Bunch!

I could see that happening. Except most of that second group of visitors you mentioned are all dead.

Well, that is certainly interesting. :) I'm almost convinced though that Bioware will kill off my Shep in ME3.

I'm eager for some more content, I've played through ME2 5 times now, fired up ME1 and played through two more times with Ash, and imported those into ME2, and played through those. Not sure what to do now. Although this should be a good time to finish and do some more Ash art.

Some new SilverRose and Badpie fiction might do the trick as well.

Hmm after careful examination, I'm not so sure of this bit of internet trivia. Jennifer Hale is what people claim, but it's hard for me to see it. Yes I know she did the voice for Femshep :)

I found this picture and it seems pretty close to me...I just don't know who the lady on the right is.

@Mass - That's Thandie Newton. :)

I've always thought she resembled Ashley Judd, in a way - mainly in facial structure more than anything else. I wouldn't be surprised if they used a composite instead of any one person, much as I imagine they did for Kaidan.

I'm still hoping they don't make a movie in Shepard's corner of the galaxy but if they must, I say they go ahead and recruit Deputy Joe Lupo.

That's what Chem's good for - rallying cries and random acts of evil / insanity.  Muahahahaha!

And if either of you have opinions on who you want to play Ash in the ME movie, we have a thread in the group all about that, including what everyone else thinks.  Some interesting opinions, including Erica Cerra. ;)

I really dont care that much about the movie right now, since I doubt its going to be that good, being a tie in and all. Although Chronicles of Riddeck did some amazing video game/film tie ins.

After looking at some Ashley Judd pictures I don't see the resemblance. I still think that the comparison I found seems to be more accurate.

Well, to bring this back on-topic, how's about a new topic from the awesome list?

What's a good night out for Shepard and Ashley? First, in a romantic sense. Second, in a friendship sense

Hopefully in that order.  Of course, they'll have to go to a place not filled with people who think they can miss fast enough to win.  Gotta love standing next to people who empty a 15 round magizine in 10 seconds and don't come anywhere close to the 10 ring.  Honestly, Bud should do a heres to you on those guys.

They could also go for a little run, mebe go rock climbing?

I pretty much agree with this list.
