Exactly - one of the things that I liked most was that Ashely was willing to stand down a Krogan to ensure Shepard's safety.  I'm not sure how many other people would have done that.  It really reinforced that she had his back.

I think Ash isn't anti-social at all. In fact I think she's relatively outgoing and jokey and friendly. She tends to be blunt which around some people might make her put her foot in her mouth, but over all I see her as a gal with a great laugh and a tendency to make friends easily...unless she doesn't like them. haha

Now this is just a guess, but it sounds like Ash almost committed suicide after you died. She says "I almost..." right after she says she thought you were dead. I can't see Ashley committing suicide. Ever. I suppose that doesn't preclude her from ever contemplating it, but... no, she still has, for all practical purposes, the entire Williams family name riding on her. I don't tihnk she would ever consider letting them down in such a fashion.

I filled in the blank as "almost lost my faith."  I have a hard time thinking that Ash would commit suicide.

I doubt Ashley would ever commit suicide, we know that she believe's in God, isn't suicide considered a mortal sin? one she would be sent to hell for.



Although Bioware does seem to like leaving a lot of blanks in Ashleys dialogue. Think of Ilos where she goes to tell you something, but then says if you want to here it, you'll need to come back to her.

Very, very true. 
In a lot of ways, the Ash we know & remember from ME1 might not be the same girl anymore.  She says that herself in her letter to Shep.  For all we know, she could've gone into like clinical depression, become an atheist, or anything really.  I hope it's something that gets explored in ME3.

Maybe she became hopeless from, shepard dead, the reapers coming, and the council taking no action to prepare for them. She could have thought that everyone was screwed anyway. It just seems to fit perfectly. So in ME3 the people who were mad at her will say something akin to

Haters:"Ashley your a (female dog) the first time i see you in two years and you yell at me."

Ashley:"I almost killed myself to be with you."

Haters:"....................Oh my god."

Bioware:"Yeah get mad at her now."B)

I can corroborate ashlover's testimony. It is indeed on Noveria. Nothing is said of Fai Dan's suicide.

Seeing how much Liara has changed, I would hope ashley has changed as well. Within reason. I still think she would keep her beleifs about God and attitude towards aliens. Those were pretty deeply held.

Hopefully that is so and Bioware did not actually hit the 'Reset' button as far as her character progression from ME1 is concerned. In this, I will be cautiously optimistic, an experiment for me.

How come i've never seen this?:huh:Where in the level is the dead salarian?

Also people change(look at liara). Shepards death could have affected her in any number of ways. Ash reads alot of poetry she could have gotten the idea from it.

Agreed.  Ashleys beliefs wer the thing that made her a compelling character and a breath of frsh air from everything else.  If Bioware removed her beliefs...

Although now that I think about it, what if Ash did lose faith in alot of her core?  It would be cool if we could re-establish her belif in God and the Alliance:wizard:

But something tells me Bioware wont go that route.
