As for friends only, possibly shooting on a gun range or exchanging friendly banter in the Normandy's training room. Given her tough military kind of attitude I don't often see her as the type to go to partys or resteraunts unless she's dating the person in question.

Wouldn't know about that. I know some people who really tear it up on liberty.V-rex wrote...
For a romantic date I would figure going to the movies or even just finding a nice resteraunt on the Citadel and then returning to the Captain's Quarters essentially just for some quiet alone time. I don't think Ashley would care too much about how classy the resteraunt or whatever is, just as long as she gets some one on one time with 'her man' that's all she'd want.

As friends... I don't know, I think she's probably want to do some of the same activities but in a group, or maybe something a bit more active - like going for a hike or a friendly spar or something.

For friendship, I can definitely see her going out clubbing, she has some dance moves she wants to show off after all lol. I don't see Ash getting totally wasted either, unless she was with some very close friends. I could also see her doing go-kart racing or something energetic as well. Whatever it is though, everyone is going to end up laughing and enjoying it.

Do you guys think that after all this is done, Ashley's family name will finally be cleared?
I think that maybe her name is somewhat cleared already given that she's been promoted to Operations Chief in Mass Effect 2 but of course that may have just been a recognition of her skills personally and not just her family name being cleared.
But yes I do think after the events of Mass Effect 3 I think some recognition would be nice and knowing that a Williams assisted in the prevention of all life in the galaxy being obliterated would probably help the Alliance finally get over the fact that General Williams surrendered to the Turians.

I guess something a little normal like a dinner in formal attire.
Fun night (if dating):
Hitting up the bars on the Citadel followed by the nasty on Udina's desk.
Fun night (if not dating):
Crew wide cage fighting tournament in the cargo bay of the Normandy.

been awhile since I last checked in, Dragon age fever has been caught again. So how's it going in here? anything new and exciting?

Howdy and welcome back. I do not believe we have met, I am the 'new guy'.
Anyway, as for what's new around here, we've hit one hundred pages and the current conversation is about what would be an ideal romantic/friendly date for Ashley and Shepard and also the topic of 'do you reckon Ashley's family name will no longer be blacklisted after everything that's happened?'

I liked Wrex's cameo and Garrus/Tali showing up again and coming along, but Horizon did smart for a while. Like it should have, I have to give kudos for bioware actually doing that so sneakily I didnt see it.

When an NPC cannot be bent to the will of the player, RPG fans go batty. Personally, I think Horizon was a pivotal and vital moment for our Virmire Survivor. It's a good thing to have someone stand up to Shepard for once and sayd 'look, this is how it is.' Some of the writing was a bit lackluster, but the basic thrust of the scene was well-done; it gave the Virmire Survivor a separate and distinct character that was *not* dependent on Shepard's approval/disapproval, able to make and stand by their own decisions (and yes, to make their own mistakes). So while yes, it does hurt to be rebuked by someone you care about, I ultimately came to be proud of Ashley for that scene.

I like Ash but hearing call my shep a deluded, brain washed traitor really was a kick in the gut.

Yeah I agree with this, meaning no offence to anyone who may be watching but I honestly think that a lot of people who get mad at the Horizon encounter just can't handle the fact that there exists a character who won't spend the entire time feeding their ego and talking to Shepard like Shepard is a god.
I liked the fact that Ashley was hurt and confused because it meant she loved the MAN not the LEGEND of Commander Shepard and she was still independant enough to question him from time to time without being overwhelmed by his greatness.
Obviously though, some people can't handle that.
Incidently, meaning no offence to any fans of any other Female LI's that may be reading this, this is just how I see it.

I agree completely. I guess the ****clowns who diss Ashley expected her to strip naked right there and beg Shepherd to ravage her on the spot. I guess seeing Ash put Shepherd down like a sick dog hurt their already fragile ego. These people are simply idiots.

Wow just got hate on Facebook over liking ash. People posted like a wall of text that incorrectly stated things about her (see Racist and ugly).

Nice work, Giggles! It's always hard to argue with people over the racist / ugly statements - not because they have valid points or reasonable things to cite, but because they simply don't want to listen to any other viewpoints. I can understand not liking a character (there are several that I don't), but I'd far prefer if it people could just say that they don't like Ash as opposed to making ad hominem attacks. Of course.... they're also nuts not to like her!

*Sighs* Watching Wrex or Grunt brutally beating someone would be a treat.
It's all about the punishment in the cage:devil:

Indeed, only madness could prevent people from seeing the good side of Ashley, the side that certainly isn't hard to find either.
Still, has anyone noticed that whenever people hate on Ashley, they mention apsects of her personality and then stereotype them? Like she distrusts aliens, has to be because she's racist, or she's religious so therefore she has to be a bible bashing fanatic. At one point I actually heard people claim that she kills 'in the name of her god' and that she 'hates' aliens because they 'aren't crafted in humanities divine image'.
I swear I was l left staring in disbelief for like two minutes as I read that.
So yeah I agree, it's somewhat pointless to make arguments against people like that, as they are just going to continue to see whatever they want to see.

The guitar riffs really do calm me out for some reason.
If you had to guess what is Ash's favourite genre on music?
