oh, lol. When's that coming out?

No release date yet - just that you and Liara team up to take on the Shadow Broker.  I was hoping Ash would play a role, but there was no mention of her, so... Maybe we'll get separate Ash/Kaidan DLC - but that's a longshot, IMO.

Have we gotten any details at all other than the 4 sentences on ME2.com and the 3 screenshots?

There were a couple Twitter updates - but nothing much more than that.  I was really hoping they'd put the VS in the Liara DLC, but, oh well.

Well then as far as if Ash/Kaiden is in it or not, is up in the air.

I guess - but then it's almost worse if they talk about teaming up with Liara only when Ash/Kaidan are in it too.

I wouldn't expect anything more than a cameo.

Funny thing about the idea that ME2 is about recruitment . I already had a crew in ME1. Ashley was the biggest part of that crew. So I really didn't need a recruitment game. I already had a great crew.
It was, is , and shall be Ashley. Ash is worth it.

I can't argue with that.

So, now that the Shadow Broker DLC has been announced (http://masseffect.bioware.com/) and it seems unlikely that Ash/Kaidan will make an appearance - I think it would've been mentioned in the blurb if it were going to happen - do you guys think we'll see some separate Ash/Kaidan DLC or expansion in the future? Or, do you think we'll have to wait until ME3 for the next installment of their stories?

Personally, I'm not too optimistic about seeing Ash or Kaidan again until ME3 - as much as I'd love to.

I like to think that the reason they are doing the Liara DLC is so that the whole business with the Shadow Broker is resolved one way or another before Mass Effect 3 starts. That way all the espionage and shady business deals that were in the second can be completely out of the way in the third and we can just focus on the epic conclusion to the battle with the Reapers.

Hopefully, this means that with Liara's plot 'resolved' they can focus much more on Ashley/Kaidan as now they won't have to balance both romance resolutions (both as in Liara or Virmire survivor) so this naturally means that quite possibly Ashley will get the huge role she so greatly deserves and that she and Shepard can rebuild their relationship in a proper fleshed out way that will intergrate perfectly with the plot.

For this reason I actually kind of hope that there isn't any DLC for Ashley, she should just get the whole deal in Mass Effect 3. Plus I don't have Xbox Live so I can't download DLC anyway so I'd prefer if their plot gets resolved fully in Mass Effect 3 rather than have me stuck with impossible to obtain DLC.

So yeah that's my optimistic take on all this, Ashley won't be given DLC because now that Liara's Shadow Broker plot is out of the way they can focus entirely on her (provided that there's no love triangle issue) and finally give us the huge emotional role that we've all been hoping she can have.

since ME2 DLCs are far from over..according to the devs...i still see one involving Ashley/Kaidan...probably when we get to the bridging between ME2 and ME3...if they still plan on doing them

Love it.

Also a CRT screen?

Thanx, just a regular pic taken with a digital camera. I don't have an HDTV yet, I may get one by the time ME3 comes out......It's kind of embarrassing because I work at a television station.

Good morning Ashley fans :-)

Do you have any hopes for Ashley based on the announcement of the Liara DLC?

Hope for Ash in DLC well sure. I have hope. I had hoped to continue the story in ME2 with my ME1 crew. I had hoped to see the relationship with Ash truly develop over 3 complete games. I had hoped that Ash's role would have been better and bigger in ME2. I had hoped Shep wouldn't act like a block of wood to Ash.

So hope , yes I have hope. Expectations, well not so much.

We will have to wait and see. I am very happy for the Liara fans. I really am. I hope bioware does right by them. ME1 LI unity.

If we do see Ash/Kaidan DLC, I'd expect it won't be out for awhile.  They seem to have recorded the dialogue for the Liara DLC while they were doing the recording for ME2 (which I'd guess is why there were audio files that could be extracted).  I think they'd probably wait until the VAs started recording for ME3 to do the dialogue for the Ash/Kaidan DLC.... if we get one at all.

Sounds logical. No way bioware would bring in all the voice actors for a small DLC. Maybe a very large expansion. But I do think you are right. If Ash and Kaidan fans get anything, I don't see it being for awhile.
I will remain true.    It was, is and shall be Ashley.    Ash is worth it.

Yep, saw it. I posted a comment and voted, finally a poll that registers my vote!!

But still I can't decide if I want a VC DLC or not, part of me says yes but another part of me just wants to see Ashley and Shepard completely reconcile in Mass Effect 3 without me having to have downloaded something to make that possible.
After all, I can't download DLC. Not just won't but actually CAN'T. So I'd rather the DLC all be about stuff I don't care about all that much and that Ash gets a proper treatment in the third installment.

It may be hard to wait but damn it... Ash is worth it. Every damn second.

I can understand that, I don't have Xbox Live either. The DLC would be in the GOTY edition though, so you could access the content when that comes out...eventually.

For me, it's more than just having DLC - it's about having recognition from BioWare that Ash and Kaidan still exist, at this point. It might be poorly done, it might not answer all the questions, but it would be something that shows that they're thinking of the VS and his/her fans.

But don't mind me. :D

I agree, Silver. I would just like some sign Ash/Kaidan haven't fallen completely off the face of the planet for Bioware. Something to tell us we'll have some sort of resolution to each of our own personal Shepard's story.
