Agreed, Pyro. I wish the devs would say something to reassure us - like let us know that VS DLC will be done, or that further treatment of their stories will be reserved for ME3. Either way, I'd feel better knowing that we aren't being forgotten.

We won't be entirely sure that we've been given the shaft until someone actually plays this DLC and is able to confirm that there is not even a mention of the Virmire Survivor as was the case with Kasumi. There is still room for this to prove false, as Badpie suggested Ash might send out a mass email explaining that any previous emails from her were due to a virus or something, but I find this possibility extremely unlikely (Badpie's suggestion too ).

With Liara, there was a story there to be done. We all knew that her conflict with the Shadow Broker will have to be resolved sooner or later, be it in a DLC or in ME3. Ash doesn't have this going for her, Bioware will actually have to write a new story for the Virmire survivors.

I'm not saying that there won't be DLC for Ash, but I feel if there were to be one, it will be released much later, probably closer the ME3's release, and the story will probably tie directly to ME3. It wouldn't make sense for Bioware to write a new plot thread for a main character just for a DLC package.

The reason why the virmire survivor doesn't have a story because there has not been any info on them. TIM was supprised there wasn't any info on them and Anderson wouldn't say anything. And from the horizon encounter we know there assignment has something to do with Cerberus so BIOWARE can do anything with them. Which is probably why its goin to be ME3 but I am still hopin I don't have to wait that long.

Since I just finished my Spetznas Shepard run (look them up they make Specteres look like the Salvation army) I found it wierd what happened.



I thought yes this shepard will keep the base... oh wait Ash wont like this tehe and I TKOed it.



Do you think keeping the base will negatively influence the romance with the VS in 3?

hmmmm hadn't thought about that. I'm going to assume the ME LI's have no idea about the Omega 4 run? Perhaps it'd be best not to tell... especially if you kept the base....

Hope for Ash in DLC well sure. I have hope. I had hoped to continue the story in ME2 with my ME1 crew. I had hoped to see the relationship with Ash truly develop over 3 complete games. I had hoped that Ash's role would have been better and bigger in ME2. I had hoped Shep wouldn't act like a block of wood to Ash.
So hope , yes I have hope. Expectations, well not so much.
We will have to wait and see. I am very happy for the Liara fans. I really am. I hope bioware does right by them. ME1 LI unity.

I've said it before, but noticing the shallowness of the ME2 DLC characters released I'm hoping that Ashley is not put in DLC as I doubt it would do the character justice.

as much as I love Ash, I kinda wanted to tell garrus to use concussive shot on her so it would snap her out of her "you're with Cerberus, I hate you" mindset.

Also she sounds really angry that Garrus is working for you again, or is that shocked? Whatevs with DA2 becoming ME2 I am seriously losing faith in Bioware's ability anymore.

Thats for the console version though, which I know they nerfed. If the PC version takes the same controls

I dont care anymore Epoch_ Mass Effect has become a GOW/Lesuire Suit Larry/MMO grind/Console Kiddie thing that I am saddened to think that Bioware thinks 2 is way better than one.



With the DA team going on the same way the ME team went on before ME2, I am going to be packing up shop and heading back to Bethesda. Those guys may not engage me as much but at least they can make QUALITY games with a story.



With BiowarEA helming ME3 I am putting good money on Ash showing up in a space bikini, with three convo's, a terrible cameo and romance scene done in 5 minutes, with body panning shots that never show her face, and a buggy powerpoint slide in the end.

Actually any games story kicks that plot holed, action wannabe, railroaded story out the window.



Bethesda games may take along time to tell a story, but climbing out of Dagoth Ur's citadel after wiping him out is a moment that I will never forget. ME2's ending was flat.lame, and cliched.

Will try that, but right now I am arguing the DR with some people, who think I am the blind one for taking the US route over the DR route. Fun but going in circles.



I hope that ME3 dosent force an US route on us for cinematic sake. Ash I dont think is strong enough to lose Shep again.

I can imagine a FO3, Wrath of Khan, Nemesis, or other type of ending being implemeted in Three.



Hope not, but thats one good way of not having to put Shep into any other games.

Nah i think mass effect 2 is better than mass effect 1(romances excluded).  People always hate on mainstream gaming but they always seem to forget why mainstream gaming is so popular, because it is EFFING FUN. Remember fun? that thing that we play games for. I love mass effect but i could barely make it through my last play through. I hated the mako the combat the inventory system and alot of shepard's dialogue. Mass effect 2 onthe other hand has fun combat, awesome characters, and while it's lacking a certain alliance soldier, the story is still done very well. It is still(in my opinion) ten times better.
