Nah i think mass effect 2 is better than mass effect 1(romances excluded).  People always hate on mainstream gaming but they always seem to forget why mainstream gaming is so popular, because it is EFFING FUN. Remember fun?

Then your definition of fun is different than mine. I like to be challegend. I find that fun. When they mainstream a game like ME2, and I can blow through insanity only dying 3 or 4 times (Im not making that number up), then its no longer fun.

Shepard would probably want to know what she was up to while he was gone for those two years.
I could also see them talking about  the suicide mission,him working with Cerberus and what's to come.

Yeah that's what I think too, a lot of talk about Shepard's involvement with Cerberus and the future of what's to come, it would certainly be difficult for a while but I do think that given time they can rebuild their relationship.

I also think they would, from time to time anyway, happily reminice on 'the old days' and try to rekindle some of that spark from before. It seems fitting really.

What I would like to see at some point is Shep meeting Ash's mom and family, and Ash meeting Shep's mom (and dad, but I can't figure out if he's still alive or what.) I would like them to spend time together, getting to know each other. I think that for once, the in laws will not be a hassle, but rather a welcome addition. Shep's parents would be overjoyed to meet the lady who made him so happy, and the fact that she's military too probably is the cherry on top.



As for Shep meeting Ash's family, I can see her sisters "terrorising" him to protect their sister, but in honesty they are so happy for Ash it keeps bubbling through. Shep knows this but plays along anyway, earning him some kudos.



Lastly, I see Ash and Shep talking about what they intend to do after ME3, things like marriage, children, to settle down or not, one of them leaving the military and so on.

I would like something like this too. Sadly Ash meeting Shepard's family (in game) is unlikely, Shepard might be Earthborn, or Colonist. But Shepard meeting Ashleys sisters and mum could happen.

Thanks, this one was taken at the same time, from a different angle. I do have one taken with Garrus as well, need to find it on my computer though.

Sometimes i can't understand the obsession with Liara (not that i don't like her), Ash has a lot more character trades and adding to the fact that she is named after Bruce Campbell's character in Evil Dead makes me love her even more. Everytime i play ME 1 i expect to hear "See this....this is my BOOMSTICK!!!!!!!!" or "GROOVY" so Bioware should'nt mess this up get her back for ME 3 not just a short cameo reuniting scene and she better not die, i am a good guy (paragon) but like Ash likes to say "Good, Bad im the guy with the gun"

I agree somewhat that I'm surprised that Ashley, a badass wisecracking hot chick, would end up being pushed aside over someone who was shy and awkward for the most part. But then I suppose a lot of people couldn't handle the fact that Ash has actual flaws and chose to react angrily and make her out to be far worse than she really is.
Plus I just can't shake the feeling that a lot of gamers prefer the vapid damsel in distress types, meaning no offence to any Liara fans who may be reading this.
Still I like to think that the hate's all turning around slowly.

Also I agree that Ashley deserves a good solid role in Mass Effect 3 and not just a cameo and I too was expecting her to refer to things as 'groovy' or to tell a horde of Husks that she has a 'boomstick' ah well, we can always hope for that can't we?

Incidentally I think we need a new topic here so I'm going to make one:



Would you like to see, for Mass Effect 3, Ashley as her old l wise cracking self or would you rather see her as a much stronger more serious leader type?



Personally I'd like to see her with a much stronger and more decisive since after all she's been promoted and therefore has more responsibility to take on so she wouldn't have as much time to make jokes like she used to.

That said there should still be a clear hint of the old Ash we here have all come to love.

Hmmmm.... I'd like to see her stronger...possibly in command of her own ship and can lead in the attack against the Reapers



Now, I can't speak romance wise since I play a woman, but I'd like to see Ash in a strong role regardless.... Captain Ashley Williams has a nice ring to it



and somehow patch up that mess on Horizon...she nearly called me a traitor.....
