None of the squadmate threads are going to affect the role BioWare gives them in ME3, so it really doesn't matter. Posting in the tali thread 24/7 wasn't going to get you any more tali than you were already going to get. But that's off topic.

Although now that I think about it, what if Ash did lose faith in alot of her core?  It would be cool if we could re-establish her belif in God and the Alliance:wizard:

I agree it is unlikely that Bioware would do something quite that drastic. Other characters have been changed, yes, but they are still, at their core, the same persons.

Ooh. Another thought on "I almost.."

Maybe quit the Alliance? I can't imagine Ash being happy about them saying the Reaper threat isn't real and using Shepard as the Alliance Recruiting posterboy.

I don't think so. whatever she almost did it clearly upset her when she tried to talk about it(on horizon). It would have to be something serious. A moment of weakness she doesn't want to talk about.

Maybe that demonstrates just how much Shepard's death affected her.  It's one thing when a whiny emo kid slits his wrists because his favorite band split up, but to bring beautiful strong Ash to her knees?  That's tragic.

it dose not fit perfectly for the simple fact that ash is religous and religous ppl are afraid too commit succide out of fear of going too hell,and even if ashley did change, her religous belifes did not beacuz  in her letter to you she states that she PRAYED for sheps soul every night and prayed hed come back too her.
meaning if she prayed then she still belives in god, if she still belives in god then she is afraid too go too hell, if shes afraid too go too hell she did not try too commit scuicide.

We've never actually heard her say that she believes hell is real.

Hey, Jhon - not sure if you saw the OP, but we've been warned about getting too off-topic. Zeuss started a thread in one of the groups for all the hi/bye chatter and glorious off topic-ness. The link is on the OP as well. Most people are hanging out there, if they're around at all. There was a pretty solid crew during the day; guess the night shift hasn't come on yet. It's pretty quiet now.

Ash would never commit  suicide.  Ever.  She would consider that selfish and an easy way out.  She would never leave her family behind like that.  She's also religious and I'm guessing it goes against what she believes.  BUT, at her most rock bottom moment the IDEA of it may have crossed her mind.  Not as a serious solution, but it entered her brain perhaps.  In fact, I would think if it did that would be the moment that slapped her in the face and made her realize she needed to get help.  I think that moment, if it happened was the moment she turned her life around and started to take steps to heal.

I see the topic is Ash's "I almost..." on Horizon. As an ex-Catholic I can say that suicide is considered a mortal sin by Catholics, (though there is a movement to change that to a period in purgatory). Most other Christian sects however do not believe likewise so it could go either way depending on what you feel her denomination is. She could also be deist or even some other religion thus nullifying the question.

As this is a touchy subject and seeing that you have all expresssed your opinion that she would not commit suicide I'll hold my opinion back.

Well what if it was not necesarily suicide. But maybe undertaking extremely dangerous missions. not necesarily a death wish, more like throwing herself on a sword.
