So Spock/Data final heroic sacrifice in the name of all that is good and cookies?

  i love cookies....just sayin

Dude, Spock came back and I'm not too terribley mad about data because one of the things he was upset about on the series is that he'd outlive all of his friends.  But I was sad at his death.  My neural pathways had become accostumed to his sensory input.

But Shep?  Come on!  She's already died once!  What is this?  Farscape?

Happy ending.  I don't care if there's marriage, babies, or they go into buisness as arms manufactures in their retirement.  I just wants friggin' happy ending.  Is that so much to ask?

a happy ending option will surely be there...u and Ash or whatever LI u have...
but i am sure there will also be dramatic or bad endings...i just imagined a dramatic one...with the question..will Ashley name the child as Williams or SHepard ?

But, above all else, I hope that the ending is open enough so that we can determine our own outcome, be we in the anti- or pro-marriage camp.

I agree. Though for my spacer war hero canon one,  both come from a spacer-ish background and I totally see them eventually settling down and carrying on an alliance family tradition or something. Or as settled down as a military family can get anyways.

sounds nice...i support SHakespeare quotes in ME3...then again i also want The art of war quotes
don't worry chem...u will have your happy ending...there's no way BW will make only bad endings...and for Ashley there are a couple of good endings i would like to see...as a LI or not

If we go with the example of Dragon Age, I'm quite positive there will be several possible endings of the trilogy. I think we will get at least a "hero rides in the sunset" and an "ultimate sacrifice" ending.
But I'm pessimistic, that we will get a cutscene ending that resolves the romance subplot. I just think there are too many possible cutscenes, that most likely they will not touch it and give us the slideshow instead.
Just in case someone from the dev team is reading this: Slideshows are lame! At least the resolve story subplots, but yet they are still lame. Give us epic movie feelings :-)

E: spelling
E2: Is there no way to get a preview on how the post will look like before posting, like in most other message boards? I have to edit so many of my posts for spelling - could be avoided with a preview function ..

Dur Hur Hur Hur Hur

First of all she is not saying that in a angry or racially profane way, rather in a matter of factly sort of way. She was not comparing them to animals suggesting that they are lesser being or lowly creatures, rather that appearance wise they look a lot like them and to be fair with Turians and Krogans and Elcor walking around, once can see where she would get that impression.
Besides there's a theory going around that she is ONLY supposed to spout that line of dialouge around Keepers which are considered 'animals'. Now I'm not going to call that fact, just merely pointing it out as a possibilty.

Besides considering we as GAMERS have collectively shot, stabbed, chainsawed, burned, run over, strangled, skinned, bombarded, grenaded and curb stomped more aliens then could ever... and I mean EVER be calculated by even the most advanced super computer in the entire universe to suddenly turn around at a line like this and get so preachy is, if you ask me, pretty hypocritical.
We are, all of us, standing in a metaphorical pile of bullet ridden alien intestines, wiping their brightly colored blood off their faces, crushing their skulls beneath our armored feet and now suddenly a single off beat comment throws you into a state about 'racism towards aliens'?

So yeah, in conclusion she wasn't saying it in a racist or snobby kind of way, rather in a matter of factly kind of way and given that she's never worked with, or even seen aliens for that matter, of course it would seem a little strange for her and she might say something like this. It doesn't mean she hates them it just means that this is something new and unfamiliar to her and she is unsure how to respond.
Plus Ashley tends to say stuff that offends people because she can be very blunt.

Also further evidence to her NOT being racist:

To toss in my two cents on the marriage issue, the way I see it, marriage at its base level is a commitment shared between a man and a woman (just run with this for a moment, okay? I can hear your objections already), which in my opinion Shepard and Ashley already possess. The legal rigmaroles of marriage, weddings, and other such things are superficial and secondary. As long as they were faithful to each other, I don't think they'd *need* to get married, even.

I completely agree with this, Zeuss.  Thanks for articulating the point better than I could have! Posted Image

Hey Bri! I haven't seen you in forever! I can't remember if you were here when it happened but we got Woooed for off-topicness. In an effort to conform with his wishes, we moved our off-topic talk to the Ashley Williams for ME3 squadmember group. You can find a link in the OP.

Just in case you ever feel like talking to us about non-Ash related things. :)

Not too much besides the Ash love, of course.
Yeah, I'm not commenting on this topic, someone a few pages ago made a pretty offensive comment so I'm just waitiing for the topic to pass.Posted Image

Hey there!
*sigh*  TZ's got some a-mazing talent.  There's a fan fic / fan art thread in the group - not sure how long it's been since you checked in, but there's been a couple of pieces of fan art done recently.

Ok, continuing with the marrige/non-marriage idea. If Ash and Shep get married or are happily together, 1) do you think they would have children?, 2) how many? 3) Boy or girl first?

I think that provided they are safe after ME3, I would say that they would have kids. I think perhaps 3, but more likely 2, depending on military careers and so on. Lastly, I think Ash might want a son first, then 1 or 2 daughters. Shep wouldn't care too much, each child is precious to him. Having 3 sisters, Ash would want something a little different for her own, hence the son. My 2c :)
