Howdy Ashley thread.
I'd say Ashley learned to drink black coffee in basic, but doesn't really bother w/it unless she's had a really bad night. Naturally peppy, our Ashley.
She does exude NCO, too, but if she couldn't be in the military... I weirdly go for teacher. Lit teacher, and coach for some sports team. Teach those young girls to be tough.
And no, not the casual sex/relationship type. Or she would've done a bit just to attempt to recuperate from losing Shep.

Now on to the topic: I doubt Ash was a virgin when meeting Shepard, but I think it's unlikely Ash slept with too many guy's. She realy dosent seem the type, but judging  by the love scene, she knows her way around the bedroom enough to have some previous sex life, but she clearly aint no s**t and seems to look for alteast some form of a meeningful relationship before doing the deed.

I would hazard a guess to say that Ash has had 1, maybe 2 semi serious relationships before Shep. I don't think she had a lot of free time after all, being in the military and all. I think these were serious enough that she had sex, but I doubt it was very often either. I think it makes the act all the more special for her.



I'm still trying to figure out if my Shep was a virgin before her. Based on his Mr. Nice Guy Paragon stlye, I would say yes. He didn't look awkward in his cutscene, but then again perhaps he just knows what he wants. Mind you, this is my Shep we are talking about, yours may be different lol.

Oh now you've got my hopes up only to be dashed when its released, epoch.  Why do you torment me so?  I'm like 25% of your female population here.  I would think you wouldn't want to alienate us.

Haha, generally i don't even waste time hoping because I don't think it'll ever happen. However, if it is going to happen in ME2 dlc, this will be it.

I see it as a now or never sort of deal.

I say no. I don't think it has a thing to do with the VS. I really don't. If they were part of it why wouldn't they be part of the original announcment.So even if I am wrong. I will still be pissed. If Ash and Kaidan were just thrown in. I would still fell like they were mistreated. So I would still be pissed.

I wish i had your integrity Liam, but if i don't get some more ash soon i'm gonna bust a nut!!:pinched::pinched::pinched:

We shall always have Ashley. Not sure what bioware will do in the future. But we always have ME1. Even if bioware doesn't even have Ash in ME3 and doesn't say why. We still have that. Of course I wouldn't buy ME3 if they did that.

If Ash isn't a squad mate in ME3, I'll probably wait till the price goes down and buy the game used.

I think it seems unlikely but you never know. Of course I might be causing a little bit of bad karma because I am seriously hoping that Ash doesn't get featured in any DLC so that I can have her fully in Mass Effect 3. This is mainly because I lack Xbox Live or any means to obtain DLC so I'd rather just wait until the game gets released then have to deal with not playing the DLC and be handed a crummy default outcome for the Ash/Shep thing.

That said if it DOES feature Ash, I will run to my friend's house and link up my hard drive with his Xbox Live connected Xbox and then pay or use my free access card that I supposedly still have somewhere to download this one thing.

Yeah I had forgotten about that quote actually, and I guess that's true. Ashley probably isn't the sort of girl who would just sleep with someone for the hell of it, rather I think she's the kind of girl who would only do it when she felt ready to do it and entirely on her own terms.
I like that in a woman.

Okay, fist topic caused a few frowny faces, so with that in mind let's make another one:

If there was one aspect of Ashley's personality that you would really like to see get further development, what part would it be and why?

Personally I'd like to see more of her compassionate side. I like that she is strong willed and I liked how she could quite frequently show a clear defined sense of compassion, like when talking to Samesh Bahtia or mentioning that Shepard should go talk to Liara after Benezia dies or how upset she got over Kaidan's death.
All are great moments in and of themselves in terms of her characterisation and while I understand that they were probably kept to a minority in order to cement the fact that Ashley tends to keep her compassionate side hidden for only short moments I still think it would be kind of interesting to see Ashley show compassion more frequently perhaps as a result of losing Shepard.

I have a problem with the basic premise of your question. Yes, Ash is a tough marine, but she's also a woman - she comforts Shepard and proves nuturing when appropriate with him and with her sisters. I don't think one needs to be "sweet and essentially girly" to be a woman; Ash proves that.

Furthermore, I didn't respond to the question about her sexual activity yesterday because I find it entirely irrelevant and somewhat insulting. So what if she slept around? Who are we to judge her for any choices she's made in that regard?

Part of being a strong and empowered woman is that you don't need to wear a chastity belt or have pink bows in your hair to be recognized as sexual, attractive, and feminine.
