Voted!

good poll J! :)

Thanks...hell, I voted for Ashley.  I love her lips.

I know you really love liara... and I'm not saying this just b/c I don't particularly care for her, but like... liara's lips are just not on Ash's lip's level. lol

Honestly, Jack is the only one that really comes close in terms of lips.

EDIT: did you see my comment? :P

Oh, I didn't mean they were ugly or anything like that. They still look good, just not the best. :)

Also I will once again put emphasis on the other topic I made:

What parts of Ashley's personality would you like to see get fleshed out more in Mass Effect 3?

Yay! A topic I feel like posting about.Posted Image
I hope they don't forget about the witty, intelligent part of Ashley. The one-liners, jokes, and subtle intellectual side is what made Ash stand out to me first and I'd hate to see this part of her played down in the next game. ME3 seems like it'll probably be the most serious part of the trilogy and coupled with all the other squaddies taking up production resources, I can easily see Ash being reduced to little more than a stereotypical marine with no depth or being a much more serious version of herself.Posted Image

Thanks for stopping by. I would love to have Ash save Shep. Shep isn't super man. Its about time he gets saved by Ash.

Definitely her sense of humor and dialogue such as my favorite from ME1:

Shepard: "We've got oceans, beautifull women, this emotion called love,
according to the old vids we have everything they want.
Ashley: "If you expect to get me in a tin foil mini skirt and thigh-high boots, I'm
gonna need dinner first... Uh... sir... "
Kaidan: "That'll be enough, Chief."
Shepard: "At ease luitenant, cant see her in a skirt anyway."
Ashley: "Damn straight, you cant!"

I know what you mean, I loved the strength and depth that Ashley had but the icing on the cake was her wit because it just gave the whole romance this spark that kept things interesting.
I would certainly want to see her come back full swing making witty jokes and that same spark still being ignited and hopefully without sacrificing any of her depth or believability in the process.

... admittedly though the real worse case scenario for messing up her character is that Bioware listens to the angry youtube commentors and just turns her into the crazy racist that everyone keeps making her out to be, just so that they can make demeaning jokes at her expense.:(

But still, let's try not to imagine that, and hope for the best.:D

Thanks for the bump Night!

Where would we be without our friends from the KAST?

Anyway, to make a new topic up:

After being involved with the defeat of Saren and saving the Council and returning to the Alliance military and being promoted, do you think Ashley would still feel the need to push herself quite as hard to clear her family name or do you reckon she would instead feel more obligated to do so?

On the one hand I suppose being promoted to a high rank does help her achieve a better sense of self worth and maybe would help her lose a bit of the old doubt she used to have in herself... but at the same time being given a higher rank puts her at more pressure so maybe she would still work herself pretty hard because the last thing she wants to do is jeopardize her family name with the Alliance now that it's just started to regain some respect.
Which may explain why she was so hesitant to side with Shepard and Cerberus, because she now was one hundred percent obligated to serve the Alliance now and the last thing she wants to do is back out.

Still, that's just how I see it. What about the rest of the Ash fans out there?

Well Ash is already regarded as a hero so she has already cleared her family name, but she is gonna still push herself to the limit, she's a natural soldier, just becuase she's a hero dosen't mean it's time to get lazy, she wants to get to the top.

i don't think she cleared her familly name..unfortunately...human thinking don't work like that....they prolly just gave her a medal and a speech and then sent her away to do other missions...

I think so. She worked so hard to get her family's name cleared while the events of ME1 going on. Now with her fame as being part of Shepard's crew, I imagine the entire Alliance was watching for Ash to either succeed or ultimately fail in her new promotion role....

So I think Horizon was the ultimate test. The whole security job there was a hoax, in my eyes....and I think Anderson/Udina say that the sole purpose is to see if Shepard is really with Cerberus right?

Then bring in her old Commander who is either a very close friend or a lover....and the brass really wants to see how she handles it

The outcome of Horizon really made me distrust/hate the Alliance and TIM

yea..the Alliance didn't seem like they wanted to help..they just sent someone there to investigate...u don't send ONE person when entire colonies have their colonist vanish...i am starting to fear they wanted to get rid of Ashley/Kaidan for some reason

I have my own theories, that Ash is working less with the Alliance as a whole and more with a select group of individuals, probably headed by Anderson. Remember that Shepard's crew was seen as a liability - not an asset - following Saren's defeat and the subsequent dismissing of the Reaper threat.
