If Casey has any sense, he'll see that ME3 features all the ME1 and ME2 squadmates, and won't hand us the cop out of an all new team, and our previous friends as token NPCs. Yes, some players may have got their squadmates killed, but why penalize the rest of us? ME3 is the resolution of the story. We need our old friends back. Not 10 new allies.
There's no doubt that's what BioWare would love to do. The problem is its really not realistically possibly.
i think it's possible...it would just mean the devs would have to work more...as the posibilities are multiple...but it can be done...still...if we get aaall squadmates back...where would they put them ?unless they add a new level in the ship there would be no place...i can see Ash somwhere to where Garrus is staying..i know...kick Miranda out and get Ashley there...Miranda can get another office..never understood why my XO stays near the well..kitchen
Have you seen her tush?

My theory on Horizon is that the Collectors wanted to go after Ashley to coax a rise out of Shepard and make him come after her and so therefore since she's the bait they'd probably save her for last. I mean if they were trying to get closer to Shepard they wouldn't liquefy the only link to Shepard that they have and in the short amount of time they had I doubt they could make a Collector Clone of her or indoctrinate her or anything like that. And if they did I'm fairly sure the clone would kill Shepard as soon as he got close enough, not leave like that.
Plus Lilith was taken but she was like, three hundred feet away from Ash when that happened. Plus if you arrive too late in the final mission you see Kelly get melted not Lilith. My guess is it makes for more drama for it to be a colonist that you recognize then it does to be just some random.
Still that's something I really don't want to imagine. Having Ashley turn into some kind of indoctrinated Reaper Clone for Mass Effect 3 is probably the worst thing that could ever happen to this franchise at least for me and I constantly read the email reminding myself that there is no way a Reaper Clone or indoctrinated human would write something with so much emotion attached.
Seriously though, the last thing I want is for something like that to happen.... so let's force that idea out of our heads right not and return to the Ash love.
Ahhh there we go. Join hands people, join hands.
Vrex you hit the nail on the head,
The Point is that Ash was the first to get stung, Lilith the second and far behind her.
And the Collectors were always thorough on leaving no human, collecting (literally) everyone so why weren't they getting her too. If that is the "other" way Harbinger is planning then "Oh my God",
it would make sense think about it when is Shepard weak, only if someone he cares about is in danger.
And that my friends is true:(

I get the feeling that we will be able to meet Ash on the shadow broker dlc.
You do? Why? I wish I could be that optimistic.
While I'd love that, I think this DLC will only be about the Shadow Broker himself, if we even get to see him/her/them, and Liara.
I doubt Bioware will give Kaidan and Ash fans anything, DLC-wise or something else, before ME3.

Well the PR said that they really cool part of the dlc wouldn't be spoiled before release so you never no, but i'd rather have a DLC post ending which includes the alliance. MY idea is..... hey hackett, would you mind doing a paint job on the SR2 and get rid of these disgusting cerberus logos thanks. 'Hey EDI miranda now you haven't got your block and have resigned from cerberus, where is the TIM's office i think its about time we meet face to gun :innocent:
Anderson i got a lock on TIM, im going to go show him my new pet thresher maw, if you want in on the mission and all the data i recover i want one request......Ash has to be in my squad=]

So do you guys think we'll team up with the VS in the shadow broker dlc?
"Lair of the Shadow Broker does, however, contain some *really* cool
stuff we haven't revealed yet so stay tuned for more details as we head
into August. And actually the very coolest part of the DLC (imho) will
be something we absolutely won't reveal in the marketing or PR, to avoid
spoiling it. I think most of you will find it to be our most satisfying
DLC release yet for ME2."
You guys know how pessimistic I am about these things, but I honestly give us about a 50% shot on this one.

I posted that a few days ago. Seems relevant since we're talking about it again. I"m still pretty optimistic about this one. Which shocks me.

Not to crush hopes but if you scroll down a bit:

Aw man, was it that obvious??
Yes, I do realize he might be joking, but I'm really not expecting much at this point.

Probably this, Bioware dont seem so great with ''cool stuff'' *cough* Bioware Bazaar? I do hope for something Ash/Kaidan related though, but I have had my hopes dashed from me enough times now to believe Bioware dont give a damn about us.

Bioware says "our fans will live it!"
What they really mean is the halo-rejects will love it since they cant put the effort into making a story anymore.
While I love the updated combat in ME2, tossing out all the meat of a game just to make twitch shooters happy is a sell out, not an improvemment.
If they cameo Ash again, or just do some crummy OOC garbage AGAIN, then I will sadly be tossing my fan hat in the trash.

At this point, I'd be upset if Ash were included in the Liara DLC without a mention of her being there - almost like a slap in the face, like she doesn't deserve top billing and they know her being included would have no impact on sales.

After being ignored on the t-shirt poll, though, and on the resultant thread, I'll be surprised if she's more than a 30 second cameo and an email in ME3.

Well, I'm not going to buy any more DLC unless it's confirmed that Ash is in it. So even if it were a surprise, I'd have to find out about her role anyway. *shrug*

Don't forget the otherwise lovely Kasumi DLC. Jacob did get, what, five, six lines? And Ash/Kaidan? Right, none.
Thanks, Bioware.
