Ash is definitely an up close and personal soldier more than a tactical infiltrator type. Shotgun. Bam.

Nice to see others had the same impression of her as me. So her two weapons would logically be AR and SG, just like Grunt, following the ME2 squaddie model.

Perhaps she could even be upgraded to use the Revenant? Whether in the hopefully-soon-to-be-announced DLC or in ME3...

Well, I do hope they'll make her a badass CQC specialist. Jack had a foul mouth and plenty of 'tude, but the "punch" just wasn't there. We have plenty of sniper types already, including the supposed CQC specialist Thuna...

Although I picture her running around with an assault rifle, I always spec her to use the sniper rifle in the game. Sometimes in close quarters though, like on Luna where you get swarmed by bots, I make her switch out to the assault rifle again.

So, after playing LotSB again last weekend, I started thinking .. if a dossier on Ash had been included what do you think it would/should contain?

Based on the content of the others, I bet it would have something kind of funny, like extranet vid records of 'Sleepless in Illium' or something else to indicate a sappy romcom (maybe a little out of character, but iirc there are a lot of people who think she'd probably like them). For the more poignant one, I could see extranet searches on "Commander Shepard sightings," "Shepard Cerberus," "Cerberus," "Cerberus disappearing colonies," "Collectors Reaper threat" or something along those lines - maybe evidence that she's trying to research what Shepard told her on Horizon.

I like this.

Maybe a confirmation message on some thigh high boots and a tin foil mini skirt she orderd  Another chat with her sister, Sarah, or maybe Abby or Lynn, so we get to know them a bit better. There will likely be some poetry aswell. And a family history on the Williams family, searching all the members of her family who served the Alliance.

I'd be concerned by the possibility of a lot of:

"Dur, Ashley haets alienz'

Kind of jokes inserted in there as some kind of joke, given that most supposedly 'humorous' jokes circulating about Ashley in the Mass Effect community have to do with her 'racism' and it would sadden me very much if Bioware had added something like that.



Still, that seems unlikely so I will give a few ideas of things you might see in an Ashley related dossier:



"Boomstick."

"Shop Smart, Shop S-mart"

"Army of Darkness"

"Bruce Campbell"



"Collectors"

"Collectors Cerberus"

"Horizon Colony linked to Cerberus."



"Tennyson Whitman"





Also for some reason I would find a long history of downloaded online video games, like little mini independent games mostly built around puzzle solving.

I would like a vid seeing her using her marine hand to hand, seeing her take down another Alliance soldier in marine hand to hand combat training, maybe a Turian or (dare I say it) a Krogan.

Dossier...

There would have to be something about her family. Perhaps heart to heart with one of her sisters, about coping without Shep? Perhaps a romance exclusive.

Correspondence of her turning down sudden new "friends" in the Alliance hierarchy, now that the Williams name is no longer muck. I don't mean romantic overtures, just political hacks trying to edge in and use her, and her rebuffing them.

Something comedic as well... perhaps a listing of all the smutty slash fanfic she's written about the characters of her favorite tv series?

I really like that idea! 

I think it would be kind of cool for her to be meeting with someone off-camera, and all you can see is wafts of smoke blowing towards her - just enough for people to speculate or guess that it might be TIM ... and then, in another DLC or ME3, you get an alternate camera angle and it's made clear to us that it's Hackett (what?  he sounds like a smoker... all gravely-voiced and stuff).  I'd love to see Hackett's face - and the writers would probably love to toy with us.

I didn’t handle our meeting on Horizon well either.   I’m sorry for the pain I caused you. 
When I woke up I was surprised you weren’t with me. To find out it had been two years. What you went through, the time we lost growing together, I didn’t know what to say when I saw you.
I found out the Collectors are responsible for the lost colonists and the destruction of the Normandy. I’m going to make them pay for what they took from us.

Hey Ash,
I was so glad to see you on Horizon. I know you don’t know if you can trust me now, but I hope that someday you and I can get together and talk it all out.
The Alliance sent me to the Normandy crash site to look for the remains of some of the crew who were still listed as missing.  I brought back twenty sets of dog tags to help bring closure to their families.  It was more than I could do for Kaidan and his family.
Joker, Dr Chakwas, Tali, and Garrus joined the crew. We are hitting the Omega4 relay in a few minutes. We’re going to take the fight to the Collectors, wipe them out.
I miss having you and your boomstick at my side.

I'm hoping so.  I think BioWare knows by now that we're demanding more of Ashley & Kaidan!  Priestly commented in the DLC wishlist, which is 35+ pages of ideas.
I thought Hackett's dossier hinted at something, but I could be wrong....

            the Hackett dossier implies the Alliance knows about SHeps afilliation with Cerberus and is keeping tabs on him...and they don't want Shep to be disturbed(this goes to my Alliance and Cerberus ar eone theory)...but it is indeed a good premise to start an Ashley/Kaidan DLC...wich i am almost sure will happen..if they want to make more DLC between ME2 and ME3

Any thoughts on what Ash's unique power might be in future DLC? Maybe she has access to the Revenant, or maybe she has the "Carnage" shot. Thoughts?

I don't recall where she says it in the game. But you can hear it on the first post on page one.

She says it on Virmire if you keep her in your team, choose her as a squaddie, and don't send her with the salarians.

Ash has one of the best voice acting in gaming history, if not the best, imo. Thank you Kimberly Brooks. At the start of ME2 that ''SHEPARD!'' just sounds so good from Ashley, and she realy sounds terrified, not to diss Kaidan or Liara (as I love them too) but I just didn't get the same feeling with them, they sounded realy great but I felt it was more real and pasionate from Kimberly Brooks.
