here's something that i read on the new tali thread that is interesting....

After the Citadel fight..the Normandy destruction...only a handfull of people still continue to believe in the Reaper threat enough to continue the fight..some fought for SHepard(Ken and Gabby,Joker)...while the Virmire survivor just took the promotion and went off..yes they still mourn for SHepard...but they seem a litlle uncaring about the Reaper problem...it's like Ash woke up once and said..hey Shep is dead...and i got promoted...untill Horizon...she seems to have returned to the Alliance and..that's it...unlike others she does not voice her opinion on the matter..like others did...just seems weird to me

Makes good for a future storyline if u ask me....

I guess Ashley believes in The Alliance and what it stands for. I'm sure she wasn't happy about the Reaper attack being whitewashed either and how the Normandy crew was disbanded. Whereas it led Joker and Chakwas away from the Alliance and eventually to Cereberus, Ashley stayed.

Anderson believes in the Reapers. I think that some in the Alliance still took the threat seriously enough to have to have some undercover opts going. If Ashley was involved in these she wouldn’t be able to talk to Shepard because of his Cereberus connection.

Letters To the Universe: Separation Anxiety is now finished, if anyone wants to take a read. Shepard gets a date with Ash!

If you get angry with Anderson (after Horizon) for going behind your back, he tells you ''Chief Williams report confirmed the Collectors were behind the attacks, but she didn't find enough evidence to convince the Council of the Reapers involvement. She was presenting evindence to the council about the Reapers. So she does care about the Reaper threat. but she will fight them without going against what she believes in, and good on her, I certanly would never work for a terrorist organisation. And we had one conversation with Ash in ME2, and we dont learn what she was doing in them two years, people should stop assuming they turned there backs on Shepard.

well it would be interesting for a storyline...and even if Shepard would actuallt believe that Ash/Kaidan turned their backs on him..it would still be an improvment from Shep dialogue on Horizon....i for one would like a sort of confrontation with Ash about this...let sparks fly..it would only make reuniting much sweeter...or something like that...:P

Two years after Shepard’s death and three of the original squad are still on mission to stop the Reapers

Wrex - trying to reunite the Krogan

Ashley - trying to convince the Council of the Reapers threat

Liara - hunting the Shadow Broker

Wonderful! I love the sheen of the armor. And thanks for posting it here. I'm...quite frankly, afraid to search for art of her on DA. Sadly, she seems to be one of those characters that if she's included in something, someone will be compelled to explain how much they hate her.

I also like that splatter of blood on the lef that resembles a star, echoing the Renegade symbol on the other side. Someone asked about what kind of man Ashley would go for, what reflects her personality. While I sometimes regret not Paragon-ing my male Shepard and her, my initial thought that she was the female LI (including the ME2 ones) most capable of...handling a (mostly) Renegade Shepard.

I don't if you guys have discussed
this, but do you think Ash would receive a new look in the possible
VS DLC? Liara had an overhaul, after all.

The Phoenix armor is
her signature look, of course, but I think something a little more...
kick ass, would be called for. Perhaps she would be (re)introduced to us
(and especially the noobs) in some awesome cut scene.

I don't
think Alliance military has a standard combat hardsuit. Sure, the
Normandy's marines wore Onyx, but NPCs on the field (Kahoku's men, for
example) had just about anything on. Perhaps the devs should
(re)establish a new, cool "in combat" look for whatever branch of
Alliance military Ash currently serves in? With not too many blinking
lights, please! ../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png

Hmm...I do sort of like the consistent theme...her name referring to ash, armor called phoenix...but a touch up would be appreciated. Of course, being the tank of the party, bringing the beat down while wearing hot pink is a pretty sweet insult to the enemy. And she's really the only one who can pull it off.

I do like her hair. I see girls complaining all the time about how they want long hair for their FemSheps, but it really wouldn't make a lot of sense. So the bun can stay; I think a low one is better than that one FemShep bun that's almost on the very top of her head.

...Still, now I can't help but look at that picture and imagine her in a heated battle, and she moves so much the bun comes undone. With the last enemy dead, she looks at Shep, face covered in strands of hair and trickles of blood, and he's just standing there, finally saying, "...You complete me." (I imagine my Shepard is attracted to how tough she is) :P

And regarding would-be-could-be LotSB footage...to go along with the idea of her on a treadmill, I submit a video of her with boxing gloves, going to town on one of those punchings bags. She did says she was a "straight-up puncher".

Any thoughts on what Ash's unique power might be in future DLC? Maybe she has access to the Revenant, or maybe she has the "Carnage" shot. Thoughts?

Personally, if I were to pick one talent ability and give it to Ashley as a bonus power it would be something like Adrenaline Rush with a seperate cooldown from all other abilities (or else what's the point?) or something similar to Immunity on a shorter duration, 80% damage reduction for say... six seconds on a ten second cooldown.

Though I doubt it, unfortunately. If they were to add another bonus power, they'd probably make one for both Ash and Kaidan instead of unique ones based off what character you saved. :(

You should check the group (link in my signature, just click the little picture of Ash) we have some great art in there. There's a fan art thread, and there's a photos tab, that most the fan art (and tons of other great pictures) end up.

I started a new playthough yesterday, and hit Horizon earlier on. I cringed yet again at the poor dialogue between Shep and Ash, but I felt proud of Ash for saying what she felt directly to Shep's face. Way back when, it was stated in Ash's psych profile that she had a tendency to be blunt and speak her mind, which is something I really like about her.

I guess my main hope is that she and Kaidan get their own DLC like Shadow Broker, or get a really, really big role in ME3. Of the 3 LI's from ME1, only Ash and Kaidan are left out now. We are waiting the longest, so one can faintly hope that it will be worth the wait. My Shep is sad man without Ash...

Well since you guy's have slipped into depression again becuase of the lack of Ash, I thought we could do with another topic:

How do you guys think Ashleys father died? It never realy comes up in conversation.

I believe he died doing what he loved, being a soldier, making the ultimate sacrifice on the battlefield, against a Batarian raid or something, would be cool if we find out he died on Elysium, would make for great role playing if Shep is a War hero.

Not as dramatic or meaningful but I just thought he died of old age.

I recall Ashley saying he retired, so I don't think it was on duty.
But considering that humans are living longer than ever in the future, it seems odd that he would die of old age. In Retribution, TIM makes reference that cancer and kidney disease were pretty much cured. So...maybe he was killed in an accident?  Maybe a car crash?

I didn't like Ashley's dialogue at first but thinking about it, it makes sense, This is what Ashley states though not verbatim. I agree with much of Cerburus aims but not their methods - I cannot be seen to condone them at all. This explains a lot. Ashley's rejection of Shepard makes a hell of a lot of sense to me. "I'm an Alliance soldier I always will be. "

For Ashley the dialogue I feel is perfect. Spot on. It's Kaidan's I don't like especially  when a command decision would mean he was the more likely survivor.

I agree - I think it happened on the battlefield.  I also tend to think that he made himself a martyr in some respects in the hopes of clearing the family name, much like Ash tried to do on Virmire.  Though it never comes up, nor is there any cannon to support it, I think it makes her insistence on being left behind and Shepard's reaction to it a bit easier to understand.  At first blush, at least for me, Ash wanting to stay on Virmire would make sense, given that Kaidan is the ranking officer, and Shepard's leap from that to martrydom always seemed a little off to me - I guess that's why I filled in the blanks with having her dad done something similar.
