Hey Ashii6 welcome back.

I bet Ash has a Shepard picture on her desk, but the real question is "Is the picture still up or is it face down on the table?"

Thanks VV :)

After Horizon pic was face down, and after email again up. It's my opinion of course.

I'm of the belief that after suffering comes great reward. Much like Job from the Old Testament. I may be overexaggerating here, but I'm crossing my fingers that after having to sit through the horror that was the Horizon Dialogue, having no Ashley mention, that wasn't negative, in LoTSB, and seeing Liara shippers get so much in their DLC, Bioware will finally deliver for us.

As much as I have been tempted to jump ship to another romance for my canon playthrough (I have actually done the Miranda, Tali, and Liara in the past), Ashley is still easily my most fav.

Whenever my canon!Shep gets frustrated with how things in ME2 are going, I make him play through ME1 again so he remembers why we're not succombing to the harlots of the Love Boat Normandy 2.

Disclaimer:  Many of my non-canon sheps have found happiness with the LIs of ME2.  I'm not knocking them.  Well, not really.

I really liked Ash in the first game. I thought she showed real growth and I liked that my Shepard was able to soften her attitude towards aliens. I liked that fact that she was religious and quoted literature (something I, myself, cannot do, despite having an English degree).

I was very sad when she died on Virmire. That was a hard choice, one I made reluctantly while looking at the big picture. She wasn't my LI in that game (I felt it was inappropriate for me to romance an enlisted subordinate as an officer, since I spent a LOT of time around the military IRL), but she was a comrade-at-arms, and a friend.

The ME2 love stories felt cheap, and rushed, imo. I did like Jacks and Thanes though, but thats it.

Yeah I play ME1 alot more than ME2, mostly just becuase Bioware butchered up Ash and Kaidan. Feels so good having them in my squad, and being able to talk with both of them (and I dont even have to romance them to talk to them, wow!)

Did any of you go with another LI in ME2 after Horizon, and found yourself pulled back by Ashley's charms?

I didn't cheat on Ash, #1 female in Mass effect, imo. Posted Image

I tend to agree, maybe not cheap, but definitely rushed.  I really think Bioware sacrificed quality for quantity in this one.  In the first one, they were a lot more natural and progressive.  In the second one, it felt like, "Let's talk twice, then f---"  Not that they were all like that, but you get the picture.

I too am one of the few who preferred Ashley over Liara in the first.  She was just more interesting and fun.  And I find something attractive about a woman who knows how to handle big guns.

Hey Digital, welcome back.

Yeah it's a shame, most of them dont post much and just stick to the groups due to some arguments in the Ash group, I will pm you the rest.

I love that Ashley picture, Digital!

I haven't romanced Ashley yet, but I have saved her more as a friend. I have another MShep planned who will romance Ash (that'll be twice in ME, I've tried to make 2 Sheps for each LI), but I have a long way to go.

And I've been lurking more, but having less time to post.  I try not to waste my time typing (and waste the reading time of others) if all I have to make are, "derp, derp," comments.  This goes for all threads.

What Ash said on Horizon must have seriously hurt Shepard, but remember Ash was hurt too, it must have took a awful lot of courage for her to write that letter, and if Shepard did move on, i'm sure that letter pulled him right back in. Posted Image

What did you guys think of her letter? I told her it was a little cheesy, but cute nonetheless.

Like everything to do with Ash, I thought it was awsome, and the tidbit of Tennyson's Ulysses at the end of it made me smile, but sad at the same time, I wanted more Ash, I've been waiting since ME1 came out on the xbox in 2007 and all I got was Horizon, and how Ash kept getting neglected in every dlc just made it worse, I have high hopes for the VS dlc now though. But than they will have to hold back on the Tali DLC, Dem Poopsacks!

But really, I think the next DLC will be an armor pack...

Probably, or a weapons pack, or both, but let's hope the next big dlc is the Ash/Kaidan dlc.

Maybe in an Anderson DLC, that would be nice.

Well that would probably (and hopefully) involve Ash/Kaidan. I hope we dont have to wait until ME3 for more Ash, we have been waiting too long.

I dont see why they would, the VS wasn't a squadmate in ME2 becuase of there important role they are to play in ME3, and one of them is already dead, it wouldn't make sense for Bioware to give the option to kill them again.

A dlc with Ash and Kaidan will be one hell of a Christmas present from Bioware, and all will be forgiven (aslong as its amazing) I dont think we can predict a date for a announcment, but I am gonna check the news and the announcments on here everday now.Posted Image

I'm glad someone else is feeling positive about it, I normally dont get too excited. due to that whole ''over the Horizon'' thing, but I have a realy good feeling that we will get something soon, thanks to LotSB and all the support the dlc is getting, becuase even none Ash and Kaidan fans want to find out what the Alliance is up to.

I'm still trying to keep positive. After LotSB, there has been more support for these two characters.

But it's still hard to keep positive when there's no information to work with.

On the other hand, the DLC Support Group is growing in number! :D

I've checked a few dlc threads and people are asking for it in them! Posted Image So far things look good, and Bioware are clearly watching the thread, and it hasn't been locked. That leads me to believe they maybe seeing what we want, getting ideas, I hope so anyway.

Don't worry about it. I was an English Major too, and I could never just pick a quote from off the top of my head. I may recognize a snippet and put the pieces together, but I'm not a walking fountain of literary knowledge. Still, it's easier when you have something that's close to you, like Ashley had with Tennyson. As an English major, I think you're just expected to...have a certain way with words, grasp abstract concepts. But Ashley used "Ulysses" because it helps get her points across, as she is not usually one for words.

My very first playthrough I was actually not aware that her or Kaiden HAD to die. Somehow I got the impression that I could save both if I did everything right. I was upset because I liked both...honestly, there are a few other characters in this series I'd rather sacrifice. I did save Kaiden the first time (femShep), but going through it again I realized I liked Ashley more. And it makes me sad; she's of lower rank, and apparently she's praised by the salarians and turians for sacrificing herself, so it's like the game's trying to tell me chosing Kaiden is always the right thing to do.

I really do feel bad. Won't be a pursuing a military career anytime soon, doubt there's any kind of "sisters before misters" protocol :P

Still, I'm fairly certain the Virmire choice won't be a make-or-break decision down the road, at least I hope not. I try not  to think too much about real world military politics.

Plus, the Shepard I made to romance her was a Renegade, so hey, regs were made to be broken.

Speaking of romance, recently found a very nice picture with Ash and a male Shepard in a moment. Also relates well to the whole...regulations issue.

Nice post! I too was upset I couldn't save them both, that was probably the only decision in both Mass effects I realy had to think about, who to sacrifice, not a decision I would ever want to make in real life.

I will add that pic to the photos in the ''Ashley Williams for ME3'' group, thanks for finding more Ash art, it's always great to have more Posted Image
