But how about we just get some info on how ME3 will be. I would like to put this baby to bed. If Ash isn't in it, given a tiny role like me2, or bioware screws up in some horrible way. I simple wont buy it. But I would like to know. I want the waiting to end.

The Overlord DLC is supposed to be about two and half, which is good, but if all it is is a run in, shoot and leave mission same with Shadow Broker DLC but with a nice good ending for liara love Fans for their sheps. What I don't want Bioware to do is a stand alone romance pack.
I may be alone in this, but it has to come with something else for me to want to buy it. I can't see paying for a couple of extra scenes of Shepard staring into his/her love interest's eyes. I read somewhere that they were planning to release DLC that would expand the story up to the prologue of the third game, which intrigues me. Although, I hope the prologue doesn't involve Shepard dying and the crew scattering. That would kind of ****** me off.

Well I am no fan of the DLC route that Bioware has taken. But VS DLC would show some attention to Ash. That would be good. I have never seen them do that.

I agree Liam,I would even settle for a teaser screenshot/vid of Ash in some capacity.
All this waiting is starting to take it's toll on my sanity.I don't think I can wait much longer.

If Bioware does something bad with it, I will lose a lot of faith in them.

We got nothing while other fans revel in completion, and DLCs.
Honestly if well done I will love Bioware again, if not then I will really start to wonder why they did it.
Now back to Jade Empire, when Bioware wasn't a soulless machine run by EA.

To true Liam. we as Ash lovers get treated like the Morrigan lovers did.

Only several truer statements have been spoken. Ash and Morrigan are very similar in character depth and the fact that each of their storylines is being handwaved. Frankly I have no idea why some of the best characters/LI Bioware has created have been so underutilized and not done justice...

If anyone, Zevran and the Virmire Survivor seem similar. Equal role to the other LIs in the release version of the game, forgotten afterwards.

Well one of my main comparisons is based on the popularity levels as well as the treatment of the characters. Ash, unfortunately, isn't a popular LI compared to Liara or the ME2 LIs. Morrigan is in a similar situation, as she is the least popular of the LIs, especially compared to Zevran, who you mentioned. Yeah, she got her own DLC, but it wasn't what it should have been so it sort of was an injustice to her.
Plus there are small movements to get these characters more exposure in the futures of their respective franchises.

I'd say along with Leliana, she's the MOST popular among the fandom. If you count the males and the females as separate, there's a case to be made that either Leliana or Morrigan is the most popular of the females (they seem equally popular to me tbh), and Alistair is the most popular male. In my opinion Zevran is the least popular of the four, but even he has quite the following. There are no "Jacobs" in Dragon Age, which speaks to the quality of writing.
The reason I'd compare Zevran with the VS, is that due to his romance plot he is quite important in the "core" game, but has received zero extra content since. Even non-LIs like Wynne, Oghren, and Dog have had extra content. Even frigging Loghain had extra lines in Return to Ostagar. Even the letter he (and Leliana) were supposed to send to you in the expansion ended up bugged.
As far as I know, Zevran hasn't had anything. His fanbase is as ignored as us VS fans.

Err... Are you quite sure that Morrigan is the least popular?
I believe so. I see much more Leliana, Alistair, and Zevran fanart than Morrigan fanart, so thats how the fandom appears. Plus its also based on the recent telemetry data David Gaider posted on a few of the Dragon Age threads, which clearly showed that Morrigan was romanced less than the other 3.
And maybe its the fact that I care little for Zevran, but while there was ample reason for a Morrigan DLC, there wasn't really any reason at all to include post-Origins romance stuff between Zevran, Leliana, and Alistair. I mean, these romance plots are fairly secure and can easily be closed for the future of Dragon Age.
Morrigan, not so much because of her significance to the overall story and the fact that most players who are major fans of her and the romance want most of all for their Wardens to return with Morrigan. Morrigan's plot thread was left completely open, even after the end of Witch Hunt.
Thats why this situation compares more to Ashley or Kaidan than any other. Like Morrigan, Ashley and Kaidan's romances are still in the air game-wise and those who romanced either have received NOTHING as far as settlement goes with the romance in regards to Mass Effect 2, which is why we were want an Ashley DLC and even a Kaidan DLC, so that we can find out of Bioware will let us continue these romances or whether we'll get screwed over.
If you go to the Morrigan thread sometime, you'll see many similarities between the situation here and there.

On this, a romance doesn't exactly make a character important in the core game unless they CANNOT be killed... another issue people have with the whole concept of a Virmire Survivor. Based on that I could see truth in what you say, but overall, anyone but Morrigan, the Warden, and probably Alistair (due to the rumored cameo), are relatively insignificant to the grand scheme of things.
Ashley and Kaidan are important to the Mass Effect story besides being a potential romance. At least ONE of them survives, so they're a lot more similar to Morrigan in relevance to the respective games.
