Tbh, as each day goes by I dont know what to think, a part of me thinks the delay in ME news is a sign they are doing something big, and the fact they have took notice of the VS dlc thread gives me hope they are doing something. Still at the back of my mind, I wonder if Bioware still thinks us as ''acceptable losses'' as one of the devs called us on the old forums. Although that was fans of ME1 LI's (not just Ash and Kaidan) and they gave Liara fans something, I hope they give us the same, if not, us Ash and Kaidan fans are the only ones left with nothing, if we are left like this until ME3, ME2 IS the most disappointing game I have ever played.

Seriously I am in agreement here, the last thing I want is to be considered just a statistic and that for being in the minority, it doesn't matter if I'm happy or not as it won't effect game sales. I mean I already have to deal with people yelling about Ashley being 'racist' and a 'bible thumper' and 'being a total b*tch on Horizon' and plenty of other stuff, as well as watching every other character get good fan recognition. It would drive me to insanity to not get any kind of fan recognition from Bioware, or for that matter to see Bioware ruin the character in the process.
Thing is, I might not need a DLC, just acknolwedgement that the character exists and not just:
"Oh Ashley said mean words on Horizon."
Instead a reminder of the good times and the good bits. I mean apparently Liara comments on all the relationships in Mass Effect 2 and you can have a conversation about them, but she doesn't mention Ashley or Kaiden.
You can't discuss the past of the relationship, nor the uncertain future of the relationship. In fact apart from Joker and Kelly, no one really mentions it.
So basically if Ashley/Kaidan were romanced in Mass Effect 1, we continue to get next to zero recognition from even the characters in the story and that just pisses me off, to be honest.
So yes, I would love to see a DLC or at least some kind of evidence that Bioware at least care enough about the Ashley/Kaiden fanbase to not just hold up a sign that says:
"You picked wrong in the first game."
I mean, there's no reason why they shouldn't.
Still, there is hope remaining. Number one, Casey Hudson did make that promise all that time ago and while he hasn't made much clear, he assured that the reason behind Ashley/Kaiden not joining up was because they had 'big plans' for them in the future. I'm hoping this amounts to a decent plot resolution of the romance (after all Kelly does ask if you have feelings for Ash) and not some lame 'graaaagh i iz collctar clone now1!1Q!1!11' kind of plot twist.
Plus, they wouldn't have added the picture to the frame and have the scene where Shepard stares at the picture included unless they did have a plan to do it.
Finally they said that they were keeping tabs on those who did cheat and those who didn't. Further more raising the idea that there is a benefit from staying loyal.
So I like to think that there is some hope for us these days. I just hope everyone else appreciates how good they have it....
