Hey Ashley thread, how's it going?
Just thought you might like a snippet of the PM I received from Jesse Houston in reply to a message I sent him
''I can't give details for obvious reasons. But I can tell you that I've not forgotten Ash and Kaiden at all. They are pivotal to the Mass Effect franchise... I wish I could tell you more!''
:-)

:o

Ahhhh music to my ears Jenovah.

Thanks for sharing.

Could it be? A person residing within the labyrinthine confines of Edmonton HQ who still values us as fans of the franchise? *faints*

Thanks for sharing, Jeno!

You're welcome :) We grasp at straws at the best of times but this was a pretty good handful, no?

Thanks for sharing, Jeno!

It certainly seems that way, he came across very personable and friendly and without giving anything away managed to assuage the main worry we all have that we have been forgotten.
Now if we could just convince them to get Cerberus to resurrect the one we had to leave behind all will be rosy! :D

Yay. That is good news at least. Hopefully if they arent part of the squad they are on the Normandy at least or have a place where you can constantly see them.

Awsome! Thanks for sharing, and thank you for sending Jesse Houston a pm about it. For a change i'm actually happy at something a Bioware employee has said this year! If what Jessie says is true, I will have to send them all a crate of cookies! Posted Image My hype meter for ME3, dlc or both has gone up so far it has exploded. Let's hope this is the start of no more disapoinments for the Ash and Kaidan fans.

Hey Jenova65, that's great news. Glad to hear something, anything!

I have never doubted that the survivor stuff is coming and has always been planned. Is this validation for myself....a little.

Anything can change but even without your PM reply, I am confident that Bioware will deliver.

Shepard's allegiance is pivotal me thinks.

Much like Liara's take over of the Shadow Broker operation opens all kinds of doors to the writers for ME3 and it's conclusion, where Shepard stands with Cerberus and the Alliance will probably dictate a lot when it comes to wrapping the story up in ME3. With your decision regarding the two, comes the resolution with Ashley or Kaidan. That character will be Alliance loyal and will test Shepard, and either sway you to go for or against the Alliance.

I also think (my personal opinion of course) that Ashley/Kaidan will end up being an NPC, much like Liara was at the conclusion of LotSB. Whether or not that gets changed in ME3 is totally up to Bioware.

As much as my Shepard loves Ashley, if she demands I dump her or dump Cerberus, I am dumping her. I have had such an easier time working for Cerberus than for the Alliance. I'm sure she'll stay with me even though she may not care for my decision.

Jesse Houston is currently my fave BioWare employee :-) I just wish we could have left another teammate on Virmire in place of either Ash or Kaidan (I can think of at least one I would cheerfully leave behind to save Ashley in my games, lol) Losing Ashley always feels like losing Shepard's best friend to me :'-(

And I wouldn't have dreamed of NOT sharing my PM with the Ash thread, we have lovely close ties the Kaidan and Ash threads and you all are lovely when you come see us! :-)

Nice oil painting. Oils always have that distinctive "texture" to them. Kudos.

Honestly? I don't really care too much about DLC specifics as long as they're fun, explosive, interesting (the car chase with something different and I'd like to see more innovative quirks like that), gripping and most of all, fun. That being said, I DO hope that there's a DLC that allows players to continue their romances with the surviving human squad member Ash or Alenko. Other than that, I just want them to be fun and enjoyable.

Yeah, after I just watched the Liara romance scenes at the end of LotSB,I definitely feel that the Virmire Survivors deserve one of their own eventually.

I'd rather just have a similarly careful reintegration into the story for Ashley and Kaidan. Liara is *in* ME2, Ashley and Kaidan just *appeared* in ME2. I just want to see Ashley and Kaidan respected for their contributions to the mythos and to be allowed the same opportunity to repair, reaffirm, or rekindle our relationships with them as the Liara fans were. If we are not given similar opportunity, then Bioware have moved heaven and earth for the net effect of trying to convince us that we should be getting with Liara, and that is not cool.

If, in the end, we do get the same opportunity, but it doesn't happen to conclude with extra sexytimes but does deliver the same kind of emotional engagement and deep characterization, I will be happy.

I agree, if we don't get a Good (and i do mean really GOOD) DLC involving Ash or Alenko. I'll never live it down from that scene on horizon.:(

I dont really know why Ashley was mad about Cerberus, I made it clear I was just working with them for a little (until Collector threat is gone) and I wasnt even working with them, they just funded me. I screwed over TIM every time I could.

Anyway that oil painting is amazing, if anyone hasnt seen the rest of his paintings you should. They're all really good.

.

We have to look at it from her perspective. Ash knows nothing about the Lazarus project, as far as she knows Shepard has been working for Cerberus for the past two years, in the time she spent grieving Shepards death. She is confused, she dosnet know how he could be alive, how he could have surivived the destruction of fhe Normandy. And then she gets reports about Shepard working for Cerberus, a organisation of extremists, a group she (side by side with Shepard) fought against .

I think instead of being mad at the VS more people should consider the VS point of veiw. Shepard was there lover/good friend, and they dont know the full story. It's harder when Shepard can try and act like nothing happend ''It's been to long, Ash''' I actually felt like Shepard was gonna get a punch, and he would have deserved it.
