I have been wondering with whats been happening on Cerberus daily news about a ''massive ship'' attacking the MSV Stanislaw where there was just one survivor. Could this be the beginning of the Reaper invasion? And will Ash/Kaidan have a part to play in any dlc involving this? We know they will in ME3 ofcourse.

I am sure everyone who posts in here wants to resume the relationship with Ash in ME3 and dlc, well except for the odd troll who just needs a hug.

I know in the report they think that it was a quarian ship but the survivor says that it wasn't a quarian ship thou. But maybe the Reapers are trying to start a huge war the preoccupies Shepard and weakens the defenses. But that could most definatly be a hint to a VS DLC or a hint to the begining of ME3.

Doubt Ash/Kaidan would be involved...this is more of a COuncil business not Alliance...unless Alliance want to make research on their own

The only ones who could have such a huge ship as the survivor says are geth,Collectors or Reapers. One race is dead, one dosen't want to start a war..that leaves just one...maybe a scouting party

The Alliance is now part of the council forces with humanity on the council, so Ash/Kaidan could have some involvement.

Still I want the VS to become a Spectere.
Spectere Ashley Williams just sounds so cool.
She does have all the qualites of a excellent spectre, she always has a keen eye for defenses and combat tactics, even when not fighting, like in the council chambers. She is very determined to get the job done, and even the fact she has a hard time trusting aliens is a plus, she cant get to friendly as a Spectre, she may even intimidate them into giving her infomation.
The only problem I can see with it is: Will it make Ash less believable as a character? One of the unique things about Ash is how normal and realistic she is, when in a game like Mass effect being normal is very unique. most of the other squadmates I dont feel any attachment to at all, becuase there is no realism to them, they just aint believable to me. Would Ash being a Spectre take away how realistic and unique she is? I want her to have a important role, I just hope her personality and normality dont suffer becuase of it.
Giving Ash her own squad would make sense though given her rank. Why was she the only Alliance marine on Horizon?

Let's just say that I believe a lot of folks, especially in this thread will be happy about what they talk about come Dec 11th.
Now, having said all of that, I could be completely wrong, but it's nice to speculate and have it be right.
Ash/Kaidan will make a triumphant return.

Hey Ash fans, finally did my first Mass Effect playthrough romancing Ash. Defiantley my favorite BW romance. I really like how the romance feels esoically after Kaidan dies.
Yeah she is Defiantley my favourite Bioware romance too. I liked the whole thing, me growing up a military brat just like Ash made me like her even more, I didn't need to even think to understand her, she was like the friends I had growing up. Yeah post Virmire is when Ash realy lets out her emotions and Shepard is there to comfort her, it's great that Ash is soon there for Shepard too (although that is the same with Kaidan and Liara too)
Kimberley Brooks did such a great job at bringing Ashley to life, I cant wait to hear her voice Ash again soon.

Yep, sounds like we all would like some VS news, but I am still highly convinced (convinced myself that is) that the VGA stuff will be a trailer for ME2 expansion regarding the Alliance and Cerberus. I posted my quick synopsis in the Announcements forum so I won't go into great detail here as I am sure some of you are probably grow weary of my undeterred optimism.

I hope so Raanz. I feel like I will be left dissapointed at the VGA's though, but I know we will get something soon. Ash and Kaidan need the love they deserve, so far they haven't got it, but I have a feeling they will soon.

Plus the whole Regs about fraternization are out the window that this point...technically there are already as Shepard is not in the Alliance any more.

I think Ash as a Spectre could be done without making her a comic book character, but it would be very easy to get wrong and venture into ME2-like over-embellishment, which I would hate. Ash would take on a Specter promotion as an important responsibility just as she does her current military duties, she would not use it as an excuse to cut loose from rules and regulations of any kind and proceed to run around in a holographic bikini and high-heels, slapping reporters and headbutting krogans just because she kinda can.

Not a chance. She hasn't even had N7 training. Plus, they would probably only choose an officer from the Alliance to be a Spectre.

I like to think that the N7 is not a training course. N7 is an special forces group that you get status into or promoted by completing very difficult situations. In the two years after Shepard died, I am sure Ashley had to in some very heated events that would be consider N1-7 category. Now the same thing can be said about Specters. It is all about how the person deals with the situation. Granted the more exp the person has the greater chance they have to over come their objectives.

I'm not trying to be completely antagonistic, but the N7 rank is earned by graduating from a specific special forces program. I like Ashley, but I would be disappointed if they made her (or Alenko) a Spectre. They're simply not among the top-tier of Alliance soldiers.

I dont think Ash would become a Spectre, but technically she is a officer, She is a NCO (non commissioned officer) And most NCOs have more combat expierience than regular officers.

You may be right. I don't know if commissioned vs. enlisted is the same in the Systems Alliance as it is in the current U.S. military. If it is similar, commissioned officers get much more tactical and leadership training. The biggest factor would be prestige. I don't think, however, this issue is as much of a deterrent to Ashley's Spectre candidacy as the fact that she is not an N7 marine.
